The technician was actually early which was a pleasant surprise. He measured the area and provided a written estimate. He did move some of the lighter furniture to clean the carpet. The sofa and coffee table were not moved. Overall, the carpets looked better. He was very professional.

THEY CAME OUT AND CHECKED THE PH BALANCE AND THE CHLORINE IN THE POOL. THEY ALSO CHECKED THE FILTERS AND CHANGED THE FILTERS IF NEED BE. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME, THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE FOR WHAT THEY DO. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM FOR A JOB.

Once you use a pH decreaser, you can expect the pH to adjust in two to four hours. If you use a strong chemical like muriatic acid, it could take as little as an hour. Either way, it’s best to wait for a full turnover cycle before retesting. You want to make sure the chemical is completely dissolved and evenly distributed or you won’t have a stable pH level.

The depth of your pool depends on its intended use, the size of your lawn, and whether you opt for an in-ground or aboveground pool. Aboveground pools tend to be between four and six feet deep while in-ground pools range anywhere from three to eight feet. Permanent installations also have the option of shallow and deep ends.

You cannot DIY a gunite pool—unless, of course, you’re a homeowner who happens to also be a professional pool installer. And even pros need to have experience with gunite pools, in particular, before installing one. Only a skilled gunite pool technician can install this type of pool—it’s not a project you can do yourself.

Concrete pools are very durable but can crack if not properly maintained. The most significant risk is winter weather and low temperatures when water can seep into crevices and freeze. To avoid damage, use the proper winterization chemicals, and don’t completely drain your pool. Concrete pool repairs cost around $75 per linear foot for small cracks.

A swimming pool pump has to have water in it to run properly. If the pump isn’t primed and tries to run when it’s dry, the components will overheat which can cause the pump to seize up and can even damage the PVC pipes that carry the water into and out of it. Essentially, running a pump that isn’t primed can lead to having to replace the entire pump.
