"Gil from NE carpentry did a lot of work for me. The most impressive was that Gil worked with me to repair my interior front porch after a massive leak during a storm destroyed it. Because my house is on the beach and very exposed, every other contractor declined the job. Gil and his team were very rigorous and patient and they did succeed in waterproofing the porch. They did rebuild it and did fantastic work. The team communicates well, is always on time, does a great job and always clean after the workday. Their prices are very fair and transparent. "The entire job from start to finish took three months... not bad for a hundred year old house. Plumbing and electric work was very reliable. They also have a very talented woodworker who was able to reuse much of the original wood to repair a window sill, trim, and baseboard. Whenever we had any concerns they were addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. They also had a beautiful selection of cabinets and granite counter tops to choose from. "We hired EA Masonry a year ago to rebuild the 12 step stone stairway with a landing from the driveway to the sidewalk around the house and the three steps to the front door. The workmanship was excellent so we accepted their bid to reconstruct the patio behind the house and build a walkway in the side garden. Once again the workmanship was excellent, from the removal of the old patio to the establishment of a superior base and the design and meticulous installation of a three-piece paver pattern. What separates the work of these masons is the attention to detail and the extra touches they bring to the job, not to mention their dependability and professionalism. They completed the job in a week. Beyond all that the are nice guys, my wife insists they’re artists."

Let me start by saying Nick was very professional and well versed in his products, services & industry.   Nice guy all around who was easy to talk to and was a no pressure person, which I prefer.  Very responsive to any and all questions and was willing to offer up all the answers and information he could.  This was greatly appreciated.  

Now as a whole, I don't believe this is worth $49.  It was more of a sales pitch.  One of which I would suggest be offered for free of charge.  He did not inspect down spouts or exterior foundation, nor did he inspect window wells for leaks, etc.   He did check humidity levels and also go over thoroughly his suggested fixes to keep my basement dry and prevent any future issues, especially due to me wanting to finish it.  I pointed out my problem areas and he gave me solid recommendations. 

When and if I choose to install certain measures in my basement, I will absolutely consider this company, if not the service, definitely the products.   But this deal - not worth $49.  I'm sure you can get this for free if you call another vendor.  Regardless, this is tough as I did like Nick and all that he did do.  Just the $49 is why I gave pricing a C.  I think I wanted more of a drawn up/written plan.   He did send me a detailed estimate that same day.

They even moved much of the excavated dirt to our backyard to level a low spot, and spread it evenly even though I would have been happy with a pile. Good folks, would defiantly use them again.
