"Highly recommended. Jose and Cesar were great. They were reliable and their work was excellent. They completely remodeled our condo including 4 bathrooms, floors, fireplace/hearth, etc. It was a big job and they worked with us to make sure everything came out exactly the way we wanted. The cost was very reasonable."

"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement."

"They were very responsive, very thorough and they did what they said they would do. They were very flexible so if I wanted them to take more stuff they could. The staff was very professional, they showed up were prepared, polite and courteous. They removed the debris and they were on their way. It was a very simple transaction. You pay a little more because they fact that they're hauling it away. So it can get pricey, I cant really say its a fault they have a right to charge what they charge. But it's more than getting a  dumpster and doing it yourself. But, the upside is you've got no dumper in your yard taking up space and your not lifting and hauling. They're honestly in and out very quickly. Scheduling was super easy and they came the next day. Very prompt. They were right on time and they called me to tell me the were on the way."

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"It is very convenient, and reasonably priced.  The only thing that they could work on is the punctuality of the pick up times.  The rest of the experience was satisfactory.  My daughter has also used them.  I would highly recommend this service."

"Karla and her team are great. We have a busy household with 2 young kids. I get so excited for the 2 times a month they clean our house. They do an amazing job and reach places i have trouble getting to myself. Coming home to a house cleaned by them is a huge weight lifted off my shoulder. They are professional, communicative and do a really great job. I highly recommend"

Closets questions, answered by experts

Hanging and folding clothes are efficient ways to pack your clothes during a move. When choosing a packing method, consider the type of clothing you’re packing. For example, clothing such as dresses, suits, blouses, and items made of silk and similar fabrics are ideal for hangers. On the other hand, it’s easier to fold pants, shorts, t-shirts, thick sweaters, and more.

Plywood, MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and solid wood are all popular options for closet shelving. Plywood and solid wood are sturdy and ideal for extended shelves or heavy items. MDF is a budget-friendly choice for light to moderate storage, but it can sag under heavy weight if not adequately supported. Wire shelving is another alternative that allows airflow, making it especially useful in humid spaces such as laundry rooms or basements.

Whether it’s less expensive to build or buy a closet depends on both the type of closet and whether or not you’d be constructing it yourself. The cost of custom closets built by a pro ranges from $1,300 to $3,800, but you may be able to DIY it for as little as $400. By contrast, prefabricated options go as low as $200 and up to $3,000, so it’s almost always less expensive to go this route.

A standard walk-in closet has dimensions of 7 feet by 10 feet at a minimum and an average of 100 square feet. Remember that the dimensions of the closet aren’t necessarily the usable space. This means that a 100-square-foot walk-in closet with shelves on each wall and an island may only have a walkable area of 50 square feet or less. Make sure you consider the effect of additions when you plan the room—mockups are a great idea.

If you’re on a tight budget, the least expensive material you can buy for DIY closet shelves is chipboard, a.k.a. particle board. This inexpensive material is made from a pulp of sawdust, resin, and glue that’s pressed together under high temperature and pressure. As you can imagine, it’s not very sturdy and might buckle under your blue jean collection, so you should only use it if you’re storing very light items.
