The bathroom is a beautiful design (Nina did a fantastic job) however: Walter and his crew (the construction team) were a disaster. Seven months later we are still trying to get the damage repaired. The glass door of the shower is not aligned with the wall so it leaks. The shower bench is 1 inch wider on one side than the other because the wall they put in is not straight. The vanity is not flush to the wall because the wall is not straight. Walter and his crew demolished and removed our custom closet inserts and replaced them with substandard poorly installed substitutes. The plumber had an issue with the fittings but did not turn the water off. This was over the 4th of July weekend. We returned to water flowing from the ceiling of the main floor bathroom. Walter promised to fix it. He has pained over the stain 3 times, the paint peels off and the stain grows. We have reached out many times over the last months with no luck. For the price of this remodel, this is unacceptable.

We hired Dream Kitchens to completely redesign the kitchen and dining room of our home. From the first meeting, Gemma has been fantastic. She’s diligent, detail oriented and extremely knowledgeable. In less than a week, we were presented with 4 possible renderings of what our space could look like and you could tell these designs were well thought out by Gemma. She incorporated the details of how we plan to use our new space and we were able to quickly pick a design. It is important to note that Gemma had a vision that we never imagined possible and her ability to come up with this design based a home visit and taking measurements is a true testament to her vast experience and talent. Shortly after we choose our design we quickly decided to use a contractor that she had experience with and she knew would be the best fit for our design requirements. We met with them and shortly after we were received all the estimates and were under contract to start our remodel within a couple of months which was based on the time we needed to prepare. The project was consistently on time and on budget and we could not be any happier with the quality of our custom cabinetry. Having never gone through a “live in” renovation I could imagine this being an extremely difficult process for a family if things did not go smoothly. We really were blown away with the quality of service the team at Dream Kitchens provided and whole heartedly recommend them. As a side note, the old adage “you get what you pay for” is so applicable here. Our new kitchen is magazine photo worthy and you simply do not get this quality and workmanship without accepting the associated costs but you will be happy you did!

Our kitchen was in need of an inspired remodel and Dream Kitchens did a fantastic job. Our old kitchen was cramped, dark and dated. We needed help. Nina Hackel, the owner of Dream Kitchens, was just the person for us. She was full of great ideas. We wanted a clean, contemporary look with lots of space. Nina did that and more. She doubled our storage space. She also extended our kitchen into our family with an informal dining area. We love our new kitchen. I'd recommend Dream Kitchens when you want it done right.

This kitchen renovation couldn’t have gone better. Dream Kitchens is the best in the area when it comes to quality, design ,professionalism and they are respectful of time. They make everything easy and follow through with all their promises. I never had to worry about coming home to a mess. Their installers are professional and respectful of your home. They are pricey though. However you get what you pay for......top quality. I would recommend them to anyone.

Horrible. While Dream Kitchens (DK) had access to my house, property was stolen and later sold by DK. During the design phase, I was repeatedly lied to by DK. When the installation began, I was informed that as designed, the oven was to be pushed out into the foyer next to the kitchen blocking the family room entrance. DK offered no solution and I had to redesign my own kitchen. In addition to the stolen property there were significant cost over runs. I later sued DK. I suggest reading the Merrimack District Court filings for details on the tactics used by DK.

"This project was completed in 2009 with the customer as the contracted renovator. Dream Kitchens delivered the cabinets on time and for the agreed upon price. This customer opened a small claims court filing against Dream Kitchens in 2013 in which he failed to provide reasonable proof that Dream Kitchens was liable for any misconduct. The Plaintiff then filed a motion for reconsideration which was denied. Please see below for transcript from the State of New Hampshire Judicial Branch NH 9th Circuit Court. Dream Kitchens prides itself on its award winning designs and customer service. Please take the time to review our website and other quality reviews. Please call our showroom and let us prove to you we are the best! “The Plaintiff, [Member Name Removed] entered into a kitchen design with the defendant, Dream Kitchens, Inc. The communication between the parties was between Mr. [Member Name Removed] and his wife and the owner of Dream Kitchens, Inc. Nina Hackel. Mr. [Member Name Removed] claims that he made it clear to Ms. Hackel that the island for the kitchen design shall not protrude in his foyer. The plans that were submitted are all consistent, showing that the island does, in fact, protrude into the area that the Plaintiff describes as his foyer. However, Ms. Hackel testified that the area that the Plaintiff describes as the foyer is not, in fact, a foyer, but is, rather, a hallway area which is several feet past the foyer. In fact, she submitted plans clearly evidencing the island entering the area of concern, which was initialed and approved by [Member Name Removed] The Plaintiff was his own general contractor on this job. The Defendant designed the kitchen and entered into a contract whereby it was paid a total price of $28,993.00. This includes material cost and design fee. It was up to the Defendant to pay the installer directly. The Plaintiff did redesign the kitchen by reducing size of island, he is obligated to the cost he agreed to. It should be noted that, as general contractor, the Plaintiff continued to make all the required payments, even after he claims he expressed his dissatisfaction of the design of the kitchen protruding into the area he describes as the foyer. The Court finds that the Plaintiff received substantial value, and, as general contractor, he had a duty to ensure this his concerns were addressed prior to finalizing the contract. While the Plaintiff claims he did bring these concerns to the attention of Ms. Hackel, the Defendant has a different position in which she claims that Mr. [Member Name Removed]’s wife was very satisfied with the design, and a design was agreed to in order to make the island more attractive at the ends, because it was known to be slightly protruding into the hallway. The Plaintiff has failed to meet his burden of proof. Judgement for the Defendant. So Ordered. Judge Stephen made the following order on September 10, 2013. The motion for reconsideration is hereby denied.”"

It was a delight to work with Dream Kitchens. When our upstairs neighbors objected to one design, it was so easy. We went to Plan B without any stress because Dream Kitchens had given us multiple options at the start. When we had "brainstorms" and asked for modifications, the Dream Kitchens team were enthusiastic and produced the new drawings and specs with nothing but good will and good humor. And when we needed guidance, they were there with practical and wise advice.

I am extremely happy with the result and the process. I purchased an Angie's List deal for both the kitchen and bathroom design. We met with Nina (the owner) at her showroom, and she gave us an idea of what features of the kitchen we could expect to get, and also a realistic estimate of the cost. This cost was definitely higher than I expected, but I really did get what I paid for. No hassles, and a kitchen that I plan to enjoy for many years to come. Nina provided us with three designs and then we picked an chose the pieces of the designs we liked and she made several more designs until we settled on exactly what we wanted. She also helped us pick out all the materials, cabinets, etc. This process went incredibly quickly and smoothly, and she was able to direct us toward what we would like and be happy with. Once we were settled on what we were doing, Nina set us up to meet Jamie Warter, our contractor. He took over the process after that and his team gutted our old kitchen, installed the new cabinets and counters, and basically took care of everything. The entire build process took about 8 weeks, but it was relatively painless since Jamie's crew was very professional and showed up every day and got the job done beautifully. Whenever we had a concern, it was taken care of quickly and without question, and to a level of quality beyond all expectations. In the end, I have my dream kitchen with tons more storage and counter work space than I thought possible. Nina's design flows well and the kitchen is easy to work in and involve the family as well. You may see other reviews here where people were trying to cut costs in one way or another. I will say that if you want a bargain basement kitchen, Dream Kitchens might not be for you. However, if you love to cook, and plan to use your kitchen and have it be the focal point of your house like I did, you will be very happy with the results from Nina and Dream Kitchens.

It was fantastic!!! I worked with Nina Hackel and she gave me so much time. She not only remodeled my kitchen but she redesigned my whole living room so that now it all flows together! I can do the dishes and watch TV. Initially when I went to Dream kitchens I only wanted to replace my kitchen with new and prettier cabinets. It was clear after talking with her that my kitchen could be so much better. She gave me 4 different designs and even thought about my dog in my designs. I picked a little of each design. I can not believe how much better my kitchen is now. It has so much storage and I never stack and restack anymore. It is a joy to cook now. I highly recommend dream kitchens! They gave me a kitchen better than I could have ever dreamed.

Our designer (and the company's president) created 3 unique designs for our review. Once we selected our favorite, she fine-tuned the design so that we had the most useful and beautiful kitchen. We selected the more extensive renovation which included adding a steel beam to remove a load-bearing wall and really open up the space.
During the project, they assigned a project coordinator to the project to work with the wonderful contractor that she recommended to ensure everything was available and the project stayed on schedule.
After the kitchen was complete, Dave, their Director of Quality came by to adjust and inspect everything to make sure it was perfect!
I wouldn't consider working with anyone else for our future (hopefully soon) master bathroom renovation.
During the project, they assigned a project coordinator to the project to work with the wonderful contractor that she recommended to ensure everything was available and the project stayed on schedule.

Everything with smoothly, especially for a custom design project that dramatically changed the footprint of our kitchen. Very high quality cabinets that I love and still love after a few years. Jackie Smith, a designer at Dream Kitchens truly has a gift. She did what no one else could do: transform my outdated long, narrow, nonfunctional kitchen into a beautiful, functional space that gets amazing comments from everyone who sees it. When I bought my house, I knew that the kitchen would need to be redone to make the house livable, but the builder had set it up in such a way that no one could figure out how to fix it without major structural changes and moving load-bearing walls. I tried everyone from Home Depot to Black Dog to a private architect, none of whom were able to envision a reasonable fix. In came Jackie, on a friend's recommendation, and she was patient, professional, wonderful to work with but, above all, able and willing to think outside the box. Together we went through eight completely different design ideas, complete with full plans. She worked with me every step of the way, incorporating my suggestions and being very honest when something just couldn't be done. She never lost her patience or her good humor, even as the process stretched on and was wonderful about recommending ways to increase functionality or decrease cost. She saw the whole project through, coming to the house many times to recheck, remeasure and reenvision the space then seeing the construction through to completion. She was amazing throughout the whole process and made it much more painless than it might have been.
Dream Kitchens has beautiful cabinets and countertops but is VERY expensive. I worked with my own contractor and bought my own granite (after seeing a very unusual and beautiful countertop in the Dream Kitchens showroom) and backsplash, which saved a bit, but I will not lie--the remodel was quite expensive. Everyone who has seen the before and after, however, feels that the transformation really was worth it, especially since no one (but Jackie) thought it could be done!
