"Simon was amazing. Arrived when he said he would for an estimate and turned it around in about a week with the job completed. The team went above and beyond to assure I was happy. They moved and replanted flowers and plants that were encroaching my neighbors property and enlarged the garden by a few feet to accommodate the relocated planting’s . They returned the next week to add more stones for the garden edge because they ran out due to the extra feet of garden. Highly recommend Eddie and Simon! You will not be disappointed."

"I was happy to call Rodolfo again after an excellent experience with him two years ago and I’m pleased to report that he has not changed! I called Rodolfo on a Tuesday, he came to do an estimate on Wednesday, and the job was completed by Thursday afternoon. Like last time, the workmanship was perfect and the price was less than I had anticipated. Rodolfo came by at the beginning and end of the day but Jose handled most of the job on his own and was polite and pleasant to have here. This was a small job but we were eager to get it done quickly and Rodolfo once again delivered. I can’t recommend him enough."

"It started out as a smaller project to rebuild the stairs. After the initial consult and estimate, I took out the two bushes that were in the way of where the new stairs were going to go. When Tony showed up to start work, he discovered several things that required us to expand the scope of the project. He was really straight-forward with the explanation and apologetic even though it wasn't his fault at all. We decided to go forward with the additional work. Tony and his crew were fantastic through the whole project. When issues came up, he consulted me and walked me through options. He showed up when he said he would. He went way out of his way to find balusters and post caps at the last minute. He worked really hard to keep the project costs low. I really appreciated it! We have a much much safer porch and stairs and the walkway is beautiful. We're very happy with how it all turned out!"

"They did a beautiful job on my childhood bedroom furniture. They did exactly what I visioned for now my daughter. Excellent communication and highly professional. Wouldn’t think twice to have them do more work and have already gave out their name to other potential customers."

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.
