Bob was the first to reach out to our urgent need of an extension and completely update the existing driveway before winter hit. He came out next day took some measurements we talked about a plan and how we wanted the driveway pitched to the street. Bob Made us feel comfortable talking with him and we felt confident in hiring him.He also is a huge dog lover!... Crew arrived next day 8:40 right before 9 to start paving. Whole crew was fast and efficient. Nice guys and we're very professional. You can tell Bob takes his job serious along working with his son. "????? If I could give zero stars, I would Hiring this contractor was a nightmare from start to finish. The bathroom they delivered is so poorly done that I feel like I need to redo it entirely. They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ? End result: Substandard work that does not reflect the money spent. Save yourself "

"I contracted with Brian Kelly to remove and replace the existing front entrance stairs and walkway to my home. I couldn't be happier with the great job he and Shane did. They totally rebuilt the stairway and finished it with bluestone and stone veneer. The walkway, which was pea-stone was replaced with pavers. Both the stairs and walkway were sealed. The result is what you see in the attached pics, but I must admit, it looks way better when you're standing on it! They cleaned up every day, were punctual and professional. This was my 2nd time doing business with Kelly Masonry, and won't be my last! Thanks Brian and Shane!"

The material that’s best for your private road depends on your property, the climate in your area, and your personal preferences. Gravel is an affordable option, but some homeowners don’t like how it looks. It can be a pain to remove snow from, and it requires more ongoing maintenance than asphalt or concrete. If you wish to break up a cracked or broken paver for removal, you can use a hammer or mallet and a chisel to fragment the paver. As you’re working, be careful not to disturb surrounding pavers; the key is to work slowly and steadily and remove the broken pieces gently. You should also wear a mask and goggles to ensure that no dust gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth as you work.

Driveway paving costs around $4,500 on average, but depending on many factors, you could pay anywhere from $2,500 to $6,600 or more. The size of your driveway will usually be the most significant factor, with more square footage increasing your costs. You can expect to pay between $2 and $15 per square foot for paving services. Some other factors that play a role include the following:

An asphalt driveway should be at least 3 inches thick over a compacted gravel base. Areas with poor drainage should have a thicker stone base. To install a new asphalt driveway over an existing driveway, the new asphalt should be at least 2 inches thick and the existing driveway should be in relatively good condition.

Professional installers often include a deep layer of crushed gravel under permeable pavers to allow more runoff to soak through into the soil below.
