"When I first met Edwin he was very polite. He promised to follow the explicit details of the project which were to match existing fence. He said he would start in two weeks. When he finally showed up it had been a month. He stayed for a few hours and went home sick after having brought a small amount of disgraceful materials. I mistakenly agreed to pay $300 for these in advance. The wood was cracked, some posts too large and the boards the wrong species. After being instructed not to use a specific post he did so anyway. Then proceeded to make the gate a foot shorter than fence. After he left I noticed the cross bars were pine which he argued and lied over until Angi got involved. To keep job he agreed to get cedar like the original fence. By then I had had enough manipulation and childishness. He insisted on finishing job and I did not want him to. So in fear he would, I had to keep and move the materials he lazily left. If I do not get my $300 back I am glad because the gentleman working for him was very kind and I don’t want Edwin having an excuse not to pay him. Edwin is dishonest, and immature. I do not recommend him! My parents recently passed away and I wanted the project done for my Mother at least by Father’s Day. I am disabled and my puppy who is helping me to survive is not safely contained in my front yard. The Summer is wasted because I cannot empty the garage and get my home ready for a future PCA. Edwin knows not what he did and didn’t do. Do not hire this person and God Bless!"

"Great experience with ABS, they were prompt and great communications on the estimate date and time . The company rep. described all our options available based on the site visit. Weighed all our options / estimates, ABS was the best value for money. We were able to schedule the installation per our needs and they follwed up prior to the date to verify we were all set to go. The crew arrived on time , on the promised date and were fantastic. Completed a majority of the job by the end if the day as planned , they left the site clean and reviewed with us the schedule for completion the next day. Day two was just as planned, completing the job and reviewing the install with us prior to final departure. Really nice job and we are very happy with the results .. And so are the neighbors !

"After first contact via Angie's List for a quote, they called my husband back but were unable to get a hold of him after several attempts due to schedule conflicts on his end. They proceeded to email a response via Angie's list messages, explaining the delay, and requesting additional information in order to provide a quote.
I emailed them back with my phone number and personal email address, a few more details about the railing (measurements, and photos). Within 24 hours they emailed me with a quote for the work to be completed and a time frame. Lucy, who managed this process was lovely to work with.
We decided not to work with American Design Iron Works because they asked for a 50% deposit to order materials for the railing, which is not something we are comfortable with. A 10% deposit would be more reasonable in our estimation.

"Mark is the best finish carpenter I have ever hired. He built a beautiful wood balance for my living room window. Trimmed out in gorgeous moldings and painted to perfection. It was better than I had ever imagined and we always get compliments on that piece of original, handcrafted work. He also did some other work in the house as well- took down a wall and reconfigured two rooms to build a closet. It was perfect. Mark also refinished a hitch in my mothers home which looks spectacular. Would hire Mark for any job in the house. Easy to deal with and professional."

Put in vent for kitchen microwave (including purchased for us at cost a new microwave) and vented through the wall and out the roof. 
Fixed leak around skylight on roof w/ elaborate and what appears to be effective solution to a chronic problem we were having 
He even fixed our broken door closer for free. 

Despite apparent successful initial installiton of the microwave vent. It  does not vent to the outside of the house. This was the same problem we had before, it blows back into the house. We have been told it was installed wrong by an inspector and that it needs to be corrected. Conway General Contracting will no longer return our calls or emails that I have sent via Angie's List website."

"Mike and one of his workers came out and did their investigation right on time with the appointment we set. What they ended up finding was that my shower was leaking down into the wall because it wasn't caulked properly, which in turn ended up in my basement ceiling and then down into the basement wall. They opened up the ceiling and wall and found mold growing. The only reason we never noticed was that there is a sheetrock ceiling in the basement that the water was dripping onto but there's also a drop ceiling that hid the water damage that was occurring. In the end, all of the water damage was repaired, the mold was remedied and the shower got re-caulked. No issues since!"

"Ivaldo and his team worked fast and with focus on quality. The footing for the porch was beyond what the drawings called for. Since the front porch was sagging and causing a sag in the roof line, extra focus was placed on shoring up the roof rather than just finishing the porch. The final result is a clean and sturdy new front to the house."
