"Excellent communication from initial inquiry, to estimate, scheduling and onsite interactions. Vernon completed my project as discussed in a thorough, timely and professional manner. I will definitely have him return to our home on an annual basis for dryer vent cleaning and would recommend him to others without hesitation. Thank you Earth Green and Angi’s List!"

"He was great. Worked very hard and kept his promise of cleaning the dryer, all vents, and taking videos of it all. My vents were hard to reach so he went into the attic to do so. Well worth doing this yearly."

"I called All Brands Appliance to address an issue of a gas smell when the dryer was used. From my description of when and where the smell was coming from Joe said he knew what the problem was. He also told me not to use the dryer until he fixed it, which I appreciated that he was concerned for my safety. Joe arrived at the arranged appointment time. He was very friendly and courteous. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the gas coils. He then went out back and ensured that the dryer vent was clear. The vent is not easy to access and he had to climb under the deck to do it, but didn't complain at all. He had the job completed in 20 minutes, yet did a very thorough job. Gas smell is gone. Pricing was reasonable and he offered me a discount. Highly recommend!"

"I liked the fact that they did the vent cleaning from the outside so I didn't have to worry about making space in the laundry room so they could get to the dryer. My only complaint is that it took them a while to get to me, even though I said I needed it done quickly. I had to call twice to get the job moved up, but I am happy with the work."

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

In a ventless dryer, lint it collected in a lint filter found inside the door or dryer drum. Vented dryers have this same lint filter, but in a ventless dryer you’ll need to stay on top of cleaning the lint filter after every wash. This is a common best practice, regardless of your dryer vent type.

You have two different types of air vents in your home: supply and return air vents. Your supply air vents are responsible for pushing air into your home. Meanwhile, return air vents draw warmer air back into the ductwork to condition it by removing the warm molecules from it. Both types of vents are necessary to a working HVAC system and a comfortable home.

Professionals use specialized tools to clean dryer vents effectively. These tools typically include a combination of flexible rods and brushes designed to navigate the vent's twists and turns. The brushes dislodge and loosen lint and debris, while the rods help extend the reach through the vent. High-powered vacuums with HEPA filters are also used to capture and remove the dislodged lint and particles, ensuring a thorough cleaning. In some cases, professionals may employ video inspection cameras to assess the condition of the vent and confirm that it's entirely clean.

Excessive humidity in a room often manifests through visible signs like condensation on windows or walls, a musty or damp odor lingering in the air, peeling wallpaper or paint, and the presence of mold or mildew. Experiencing discomfort due to a consistently clammy or sticky feeling can also indicate high humidity levels.

A dryer vent inspection is simply the process of checking the vent for the possibility of damage or clogs. You can do it yourself or hire a pro. Pull the dryer away from the wall and inspect the portion of the vent that’s behind the appliance for lint buildup or kinks. Check the connection of the vent to the wall for loose parts or lint that’s escaping the vent. Check the exterior exhaust vent for signs of damage or lint blockage. A pro can check the length of the vent inside the wall for you.
