MA Design & Construction CoMA Design is my goto for any remodeling work that I need. I have had several projects over the years and have been very satisfied. This year we did reconstruction windows, interior and exterior painting, and transformed dated bookcases. Re-construction/new construction windows can be a challenge for an older home. MA Design worked to level the windows, and ensure sealing. These windows gave my home a facelift. The success and high level of customer satisfaction is a result of our collaboration. We discuss my desired outcome, and review options to achieve the result, and remain in budget. They provide a quote that itemizes the work. Real Dry Waterproofing - ScituateCurt was very professional and responsive from the moment we first called him. We had a dirt floor crawlspace with a large amount of moisture. The crawl space height was very low but Curt's crew managed to get in and de-mold and encapsulate the entire crawlspace. They also installed a thermostatically controlled dehumidifier which kicks on automatically when the moisture level gets too high. The crew did an excellent job under challenging conditions. The price was right too. Would recommend Curt and Real Dry to anyone needing basement or crawlspace solutions.- Thomas F.

A 1 Foundation Crack Repair IncI contacted A-1 on a Saturday after water came into the basement around the water main pipe during a nor’easter. Rich contacted me that day and we made an appointment for repair after explaining to me what work would be done and the cost. The appointment was about three weeks out, but A-1 contacted me when they had a cancelation and were able to come sooner. They texted me to let me know they would arrive right on time. The repair people were polite and informative. I was impressed with the professionalism of the entire procedure. In fact, in a more recent storm, another leak appeared in the basement and I am hiring A-1 again. The seal they did around the pipe held very well, there was no water intrusion at that point. Phil did all of the work with the insurance all I had to pay was deductible. Everything was as good as new after they left. MRW Masonry Restoration & WaterproofingI searched for a very long time for a mason to resolve some water issues in an addition to a South End brownstone. Patrick was exceptionally professional and responsive. He was knowledgeable and explained where he thought the water was coming from, and how to fix the issue. The job ended up being much larger than expected, and he was able to use his professional resources to recommend additional work to fix our issue. He made sure that the job was done to perfection, and even came back for some touch-up work himself. I am very happy with the work that was completed. Very professional and honest; fair pricing. Lapans Waterproofing & Home MaintenanceJohn's crew did a great job fixing our drainage issues. Before, there would be standing water in the basement after rain, etc. and mold throughout the home! John designed and implemented a system of french drains, sub-pump, a layer of river rock, etc. He was immediately expert in diagnosing the problem, proposing a solution (reasonable compared to other estimates but far exceed them in terms of his thoroughness), executed on time and on budget, professional and caring thru and thru. We just had days of deep snow, rain storm (which melted the snow) and the basement looks and all the drains/sub pump functioned as John described. It's clear John's deeply knowledgeable and takes great pride in doing the job right. He was also patient and customer-centric-- answering all my many questions, including followup on any maintenance or things to watch out for. He also offers annual maintenance, trap cleanups too. Key Waterproofing ConstructionGreat. They removed a badly installed sump pump and installed a drain system all around the edges of my basement. They also installed plastic sheeting over the walls to prevent any further seeping. The exterior drain was well buried under a paving stone driveway and they tied in my downspouts as a bonus. There was some water issue after the first big storm and they came back and assessed and fixed it.- Amy H.

I requested a quote by email, clearly specifying it was for 2 cracks and sending 4 pictures (2 from the inside, 2 outside) as requested. One crack was twice as long as the other one, very different and salt leftover from water infiltration. I received a quote for $500 which detailed the total cost, without any mention of additional costs. After the technician performed the work in less than 30 minutes, trouble started: he told me he was directed to work on just one, not two foundation cracks. I received a call from the same woman that set everything and she first stated I only request a quote for a crack: I went back to the email and it clearly stated "quote for 2 cracks", she claimed she got confused by the pictures and thought I sent the same crack from different angles. Honestly, they are in the crack business, I don't know how one could get confused by this. She insisted that, despite her making a mistake, I'd need to pay more. I got a call from the owner which argued with me about paying $350 more, that the quotes I got from other companies were also about a single crack, that their quote has different pricing per crack (I verified, it did not, there was just a single price). After I mentioned this seemed to me a bait and switch technique, he argued some more but in the end agreed to accept the quoted price.

My Dad first did business with B-Dry back in 1992 when he had a small section of the finished basement covered by B-Dry and a sub pump installed. He has NEVER had a problem with that section of the basement since! The past few years water has been an issue in another part of the basement - which came to a head a few weeks ago. We contacted Don who came out to provide a free assessment and quick quote for us to schedule the work. It then went to another level with extremely heavy rains resulting in the family all jumping in to help my dad - spending 24 hrs vacuuming water non stop and the entire weekend monitoring wet vacs and pumps. After reaching out to Don to see if we could move the work up, Sydney came out to witness the predicament we were in. Within 24 hrs, Sydney put together a crew and they came out the next day. He and his crew of two additional men did an amazing job in 2.25 days of work! Extremely professional, very tidy and conscientious team from start to finish! RELIEF is an understatement knowing B-DRY is now protecting our Dad's entire finished basement. The team of Don, Sydney and his crew can't be praised enough.
