"The guys showed up in a pickup with a ladder and very few tools.  It concerned me that this would end up being more of a sales call rather than doing minor repairs.  After half an hour it felt like that's what it ended up being.  I don't believe any repairs were done and I was told that I should consider a new roof.  This was after a historically bad winter where I imagine roofers were quite busy and their quote seemed to reflect that as it felt very high.  Admittedly I didn't get any other quotes to compare them against but I did see numerous offers on Angie's List for significantly less than their cheapest quote.

"This project took a few twists and Gil stayed with us through it all. What started out as a simple idea became much more involved when we discovered our roof had to be re-framed to shore it up before we could vault the ceilings. He even helped line up an engineer who did quick work in drawing up revised plans at a reasonable cost. Gil's team and his subcontractors were hardworking, pleasant to work with, and did quality work. "Absolutely AMAZING job! We have been searching for a general contractor for almost 6 months to take care of several projects on the exterior of our home. We had worked with Stellar Painting before when our insurance company paid for a door and window repair. After a phenomenal job and a great experience, I called them again to see if, by some miracle, they could handle a list of repairs for the exterior of our home. After coming out, giving an estimate, and providing a start time - I couldn't believe how quickly everything was done! They fixed everything (and that was one heck of a list)! Our deck is so beautiful, I can't stop staring at it. Light poles that a previous masonry company installed are standing tall and proud (versus lump-sided like they have been for years now!) "Excellent! We hired Sanfer and his team after meeting with him a few times and checking references. We really liked his can-do attitude and flexibility. He was easy to talk to and had some design ideas that we chose over the architects. He is a strong builder, meaning he doesnt skimp on making it well made. That was important to me. He has a really great finish carpenter too. Shout out to Edgard! Our remodel was a 4 room, bathroom, 2 floor addition (now a walk out basement/first floor) to accommodate an inlaw apt on the ground floor and office and living room on the first. We also had a small elevator added between the two floors. The pricing was right down the middle compared to others. The elevator installers remarked that the hoistway was the best built they had worked with, which was important since it needed to be within a quarter inch of plumb at any point. We used Sanfer for other smaller add ons and would hire them again for a large or smaller job."

"I have found Perry Brothers Construction on Angie's List last year when I needed someone to install replacement windows in my 110 year old home. Because their bid was the most competitive and their work exceptional, I have since hired them to do a number of other home projects for me. Their work is impeccable, the crew is outgoing, friendly and respectful of my home, they clean up after themselves, and they go out of their way to ensure satisfaction. Bill (one of the owners) even talked me out of buying an expensive wooden beam for my living room ceiling. Instead, his crew built one for me using antique barn wood. Not only is the beam beautiful, Bill saved me $1.2k as well! I have already referred Perry Brothers to my neighbor who has since hired them to renovate her bathroom. I have had the distinct honor of working with Antonio on this complete reconstruction project over the last ten-months.  At every phase, Antonio was upfront, honest, knowledgeable, caring and attentive. His entire crew was, at all times, professional, courteous and very proud of their workmanship, with good reason. 

The project was difficult to say the least.  The structure, built in 1840, had suffered extreme damage by fire and water and was sagging from years of hard use.  With all the difficulties and challenges, Antonio provided solutions that far exceeded my expectations. His pleasant demeanor and years of experience allowed him to work through the issues, the inspectors and the adjusters with confidence.

The results were stunning. He gave honor to the age of the building by restoring some of the original post and pegged beams.  Beautiful with a touch of class.  Even his crew took pictures of what they had accomplished.

"First of all I am EXTREMELY fussy about any work done on our antique farm. That said, Vanni does a super job. The most meticulous carpenter I have ever worked with. Great attention to even the smallest detail. He is affable, prompt, honest, reliable and a true master of his trade. Furthermore he cleans up ALL mess before leaving each night. As stated we own an antique farmhouse with four barns/out buildings and consequently have dealt with a multitude of contractors over the years. He is the best carpenter by a long shot. If you want the best workmanship you need not shop around. Do yourself a favor and hire him."
