"I am so thankful for selecting PAV Construction LLC to re-side my house and build my deck. Working with Pailin and his men was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. They are not only very nice trustworthy conscientious guys, they also do top notch work. Pavlin is truly a good person who I plan to contact in the future for other home improvement projects."

Customers say: Quick response

"Kreative Barns completed two projects for us and I highly recommend them as contractors. Their work is high quality and they are reliable. First, we renovated our primary bathroom, taking it down to the studs and re-designing with all new fixtures and tile, keeping our existing radiant heat intact. Everything went smoothly and quickly. The tiler is incredibly hard-working, skilled, and detail oriented. We are thrilled with the results. The second project was a replacement of our deck and screened porch with a larger 4-season sunroom and deck. This larger project also went smoothly from design, permitting and demolition all the way to the finish work. Konstantin is very knowledgeable. He communicated with us regularly and he provided excellent advice on all aspects of the project. The members of his crew are professional, courteous, and meticulous. We could not be happier with the finished project and would choose Kreative Barns again in the future."

"Prompt-Fair-Fast-High Quality. I canâ t say enough good things about Inner Boston. Mark and Jon came to my property and assessed what was needed and provided me with a fair estimate for the work needed and didnâ t try to upsell me on anything. They went out of their way to get me on the schedule asap so more water didnâ t get into my basement. Their team is very hard working and even showed up in the freezing cold to make sure the work was finished before the weather started. They also quickly identified other issues with my house and let me know so I could see to it they were fixed. Iâ m beyond happy with not only the quality of the work but my overall experience with them. I will use them again!"

"Henry repaired both corners on both sets of stairs on my property he made it match the original design and also fixed the bottom of the steps. He fixed my landing making it more comfortable to get in and out of my home and also painted the entire steps after pressure washing everything. He went above and beyond and kept me updated along the way. He was kind and professional."

"They advice, and had all our questions answered on sensible and affordable options. Very knowledgeable, prompt, polite, efficient, and thorough team! We are happy with their waterproofing services in our basement (fast sump pump and a grate trench with a discharge line that goes 15 feet to the outside bubbler) as well as crawl space shield installed under our addition. It works well, and Pioneer checked a month later and a year after for inspection and cleaning. A+ work and workers."

"We are trying to sell our house and are on a strict timeline. Max responded to my inquiry immediately and was very professional. He was able to come to our house the next day, and start the work within 48 hours of our inquiry. Him and his team were efficient, and gave us peace of mind going into the selling of our house. Could not recommend Makyson Building more!"

"Ben and his Subs were awesome to work with. We put an addition on our house, adding an oversized 1-car garage with a studio apartment including full bath above as well as expanding our kitchen, master bedroom above, and basement below. Quality of work is top notch and worth every cent and he managed overcoming the inevitable hiccups along the way promptly and professionally. We plan to hire him for more work this year to put in a patio and outdoor kitchen as well!"

"My professional came in to do a maintenance check up on my sub pump. To begin with they showed up on time explained what they were going to do and followed up with me after the task was completed during this time. My house was left on damage and you would not even know that they were here. I would recommend this company just based on my own personal experience with them. Not only would I recommend the company, but I would also recommend Alvin Miller, who is very professional in the way he came in, did the job and left without wasting any of his time or mine. Look forward to seeing him again next year."

House Leveling FAQs, answered by experts

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.
