"I contacted Scott Harlow through Angi and I couldnâ t be more pleased with his work. Scott removed the old film on 15 of my sunroom windows and replaced it with new UV and heat retardant film. The windows look fantastic. Not only is Scottâ s work excellent, but he is also very pleasant, prompt and a true expert at his craft. I recommend him highly and without reservation."

"Excellent! Andrei kept us informed all the way from completing the estimate, updating us on the windows order status to scheduling the work which was done in a timely manner. His crew arrived on time every day, performed the work with skill, and cleaned up well afterwards. This completed project made a wonderful update/upgrade to our home, would highly recommend this company:) Leslie"

"Nick did a wonderful job repairing the siding on our garage. He completed the work promptly, and his rates were very fair. He stayed in communication with us as we were waiting for a replacement window to arrive. We will definitely call him again the next time that we need some carpentry work. Thank you so much!"

Windows questions, answered by experts

Depending on size, material, and labor, two windows can cost between $600 and $1,600.

The entire window replacement process, from the initial consultation to the final installation, typically takes between four and 15 weeks. This timeline accounts for measuring appointments, ordering, and manufacturing. On the day of the job, the physical installation takes about 30 minutes to two hours per window. A full-house replacement can take one to three days to complete. Factors that can extend this timeline include the total number of windows, custom sizes, complex window types, second-story installations, and any necessary repairs to existing window frames or openings.

Picture windows are still in style, even though they are one of the oldest types of windows. Other windows, like single- or double-hung windows and casement windows, have increased in popularity because they can open up for fresh air. However, homeowners still love the way a picture window can frame their lush outdoor garden or other pleasant neighborhood views.

Having a professional caulk your windows will cost you around $50 to $70 per window (or $1.25 to $4 per linear foot), including labor. However, caulking is one of the easiest DIYs there is, and you’ll save a lot of money by getting the supplies and doing it yourself. You’ll only pay $0.05 to $0.20 per linear foot if you DIY this one. Finally, different types of caulk don’t vary too much in price, with most tubes costing no more than $15 apiece (but typically only $3 to $10) at the most.

Mulled windows are often more expensive than standalone windows. However, this is mostly because mulled windows tend to be larger than standard windows, meaning they require more materials and labor to manufacture and install, both of which drive up the cost. If mulled windows take up the same square footage as separate windows, they should cost about the same unless you need to reinforce your exterior wall to support the larger wall opening.
