"When we decided to finish the large basement of our ranch-style home, Lancaster Home Remodeling was on our list of businesses to consider. Upon our contacting John and Kim, we secured an appointment in the near future for John to go through our basement with our architect after he finished up work for the day on his then-current project. At this initial appointment, John asked detailed questions, making sure that he understood everything about the project which our architect had planned. John and Kim were clear that they would not be able to start construction for several months because of John’s current project’s timeline. However, the work in our basement began in very close proximity to their original estimate of when they expected that it would. When construction began, John worked diligently and methodically. Everything he did —from insulation and framing, to boxing out for pipes, to installing subfloor and prepping for flooring and blue board installation —seemed to take as long as it needed to in order to be done right; then he moved on. He kept us informed of the process as he went along, and was consistently on the job when he said he would be. The other specialists he hired to do other aspects — electrical, plumbing, plaster and paint, and tile for a bathroom, worked quickly, and to date it appears they have done an excellent job. He introduced us to businesses in the area which offered a customer friendly experience in terms of selecting tiles, paint, and bathroom fixtures. And where he offered advice in these areas, he understood that every homeowner has their own style and preferences, and directed his his counsel towards brands that would offer diverse selection and high quality. Personally, after numerous conversations with them, we found both John and Kim to be affable and people-friendly. John was always happy to explain what he would be doing next, and why he did what he did in terms of his construction techniques. "When we started our plan of remodeling, the first thing we did was the complete roof replacement including kitchen vent & duct pipe installation to the roof, and new installation of attic ventilation. MMP did not only completed it just as agreed but also very efficiently. The crews were friendly, professional, and careful. The jobs were carefully managed and implemented effectively. I was impressed by Matt, who is the manager, and he does an outstanding job in managing the crews and the progress of the situation, and the communication was clear and always to the point. We then moved to initiate a search for a contractor of two bathrooms remodeling after completing the roof and attic vent, MMP was one of the many candidates. Matt has had not only the best idea and proposals but also shown an impressive & professional sense of evaluating the project accurately, including the possible structural modification as well as a competitive estimate of the cost of the build. His proposal included a rebuild of a wall of the bathroom to expand another one adjacent to it. Matt accepted to use my schematic design image (made with a software tool) and a spreadsheet list of the fixtures that I created - as many as fifty items including TOTO, Grohe, American Standard, Panasonic, and IKEA - to start the job (later changed some of them due to local plumbing code compliance) After beginning the bathroom remodel project, Matt shared what jobs will be done with us timely and efficiently via text so that we feel comfortable enough in knowing what is going on while living in the house of dust & noise from remodeling. The crews, Zen and Mark, were very courteous, extensively experienced, reliable, and friendly with excellent communication, sometimes with songs of 80s rock music. They ask me when more precise specifications are needed and notified me when they feel advance notifications are required. When a change is necessary due to inspection, they informed me and clarified what and why. I have never felt uncomfortable in living together with the remodel job which has lasted over four months. The completed two bathrooms were stunning, just as I imagined. Matt, Zen, and Mark have proved their strong & thoughtful expertise and lived up with my request patiently until completion. Great job. "Mostly well.  We purchased the Big Deal for 2 painters for a day which said it would be 2 painters for 9 hours for a total of 18 hours.  They showed up with 3 painters and said their day would end earlier since they would hit their 18 hours sooner with 3 people.  I do wish we had known that in advance, but it worked out.  They told at the beginning that the oil based primer wouldn't have time to dry because it needs to dry for 24 hours, so we had to go back to get latex primer while they prepped.  That was disappointing because everything I read was that the soot should really be covered with oil based primer so that it didn't bleed through.  I wish they had told me that when we were exchanging emails about the job, but maybe I should have known that already.  We had to have the job done that day though, so rescheduling wasn't really an option.  When my husband returned to the store to get latex paint, they asked him to pick up a pack of rollers also.
They did a quality job, painting the ceiling which was probably difficult since the family room had two levels, with part of the room having very high ceilings with skylights, and another part of the ceiling was over a staircase to the basement.  Since we had purchased a deal that was for a specific time frame, they covered a lot with their time, and my husband was set to complete what they didn't get to.  We were happy they were able to prime and paint the entire family room for the most part, and able to prime the bathroom as well.  
They were flexible and worked with us with what to do.  We needed to paint the family room and bathroom and kitchen.  We only wanted to pay for the one day and my husband was prepared to finish whatever was left over himself.  We were hoping they would finish the family room at least.  At some point my husband saw how much time was left, and decided he would rather have them prime the bathroom instead of cutting in along the floor in the family room with the paint (since my husband would rather finish the paint than deal with priming the bathroom himself).  They didn't have a problem with that.
The rooms turned out very well.  Would use them again in the future.
