"The statements made here are inaccurate and do not reflect my professional services or conduct. I take pride in maintaining high standards, supported by clear documentation throughout each project. While I respect every client’s right to share their perspective, I cannot accept unfounded allegations."
"The flattering review is exceeded only by the harmonious collaboration that made possible the successful project. It is of great personal satisfaction."
"It was a pleasant collaboration and I believe that deck will turn out fine and add to living enjoyment and enhancement to property value."
"The client is delightful to collaborate and together with the attorney, everything was coordinated to meet the legal requisites in an expeditious way in time for the sale deadline."
"I am happy to have helped set direction for the project and a reasonable scope of work while observing applicable codes, to get the apartment ready for rental with minimum delay toward producing rental income. Proposed modest changes created a two-bedroom unit from a one bedroom thus creating additional income and value."
"I was happy to advise [Member Name Removed] on an insurance claim for house damage and recommended an independent claims adjuster. I drew on my experience with property insurance claims involving fire, water rot damage and code compliance upgrades that some policies cover. That can be substantial. As it turned out he didn't need my architectural services but I was pleased to help him."
"The requester couple and their twins are a delightful family considering, like many other families, how to maximize space and lifestyle of their home at a reasonable construction cost. I engaged by them to perform a schematic design and feasibility study."
"The joy is reciprocal as we evolve the addition and remodeling design."
"The requester and family are a delight to work with on this challenging project still in progress. Our shared enthusiasm and my expertise will result in a successful project."
"I am happy that I could help this young couple, making a significant move-up into a dream home, expression of our collective ideas and options for the eventual transformation into what complements their lifestyle. The recently acquired handsome, vintage 1925 home on an attractive street and site is a great candidate for creative owner distinction. I suggested that before making important long-range decisions for changes, live with the house for a year and get a sense of its "bones." Hear what it has to say, learn its personality, respect its aesthetics so that new will seamlessly blend in with the existing. I am excited at our possible future collaboration to realize their vision as it unfolds."
"It was a pleasure working with the client and her husband. Our collaboration yielded a family room addition and remodeled first floor spaces for accessible one-floor living at a reasonable budget. It will adapt to future changing needs. I believe that they will derive years of satisfaction living in their transformed home."
"This young couple are great clients, open to ideas and articulate in their vision to incorporate their suggestions of what they want their house to be. It was fun interchange of ideas and a challenge to make the full second story harmonize with the existing plan and structure. While maintaining aesthetics, no space went to waste. It will be a handsome and comfortable home of increasing value for years with excellent curb appeal."
"Working with this couple was a very satisfying experience. Their home dates back to the founding our republic: 1776. Since then its metamorphosis as seen accretions over the centuries: mid 19th century Victorian details and an early 20th century sweeping veranda harking back to the Colonial Revival Style- all sympathetic to the whole. As charming and venerable as is this home's historical pedigree, what was needed was for the first floor plan to be opened up for better circulation flow and relieve the legacy compartmentalization. Four growing children put pressure on space needs despite over 3,200 square feet living space. In the redesigned kitchen a large island was wanted for a gathering point- it's the social nexus for most families. Many other amenities were considered."
"I was engaged to create a renaissance schematic re-purpose design of an historic single family home from the 1870's into two living units plus a new attached single for a three unit complex. This involved challenging zoning conformance and to blend in with the neighborhood."
"Something got lost via a third-party interviewer. The "work completed date" is erroneous and none of the categories behind the overall were rated. Work is still in progress as of 11/26/19. The client is a working young couple with a toddler. It has been a trying time for them living in the property that needs much TLC. A schematic remodel and addition design has been effected addressing their understood requirements and it is getting a builder's preliminary estimate. They opened up to me about disappointments and frustrations over delay and communication. I appreciate constructive honest criticism. It alerts me to do my job better. Construction planning will be squared away and ready for the spring building season."
"This project is a 3,500 square feet dream home for a couple who wanted to demolish their outdated, cramped '50's split level. It was a pleasant and creative collaboration and yielded all of the features desired for their life style."
"I'm sorry that the client couple feels this way. I can appreciate if fees in aggregate may look like a lot of money for what is regarded as simply drawings and not realize what vital information they contain. Besides aesthetic concern, there is a host of communications, numerous building, zoning and other regulatory codes, ordinances and regulations affecting projects. The drawings are needed to secure permits to build and hold the builder accountable to estimates. Every project is custom in this regard. Fee structure was spelled out for them in a written contract. When it comes to fees it can be difficult for a client to understand the value of professional services versus paying for tangible construction. When evaluating an Architect one ought to consider the depth of experience behind the professional services and how they come to bear upon the successful completed project. This Project, an old two-family property circa 1900, is non-conforming to current zoning. It was an ambitious gut remodel dealing with cranky existing conditions and requiring professional skills honed from long experience to modify and pilot it to successful conclusion. They expressed to me apparent satisfaction. Boston is one of the most difficult municipalities for the permitting process. In any event, it was pleasant and enjoyable for me to collaborate with the couple for a project that we can all be proud."
"This client couple was wonderful to work with in our collaboration to resolve design challenges blending new with existing. They now have a distinctive home meeting demands of modern living."
