"After living in this house for 38 years ( original owner), I was surrounded with trees. All trees are gone and I'm now at the bottom of a hill the builder made for new houses. Have 2 sump pumps with never having water in a finished basement, now when it rains we get water. Call Ed, he came right out and we signed a contract with an open installation date. After last storm Ed put us on priority list, crew come in and jackhammer around the basement and installed a French drain and added a 3rd pump. Job was finished in 2 days, all trash and cleaning done. Wendel came by to check on the work, we are waiting for a couple of finishing items ( pump cover and outside drain pipe finish ). These 2 guys were amazing with the amount of cement that had to be taken out, the stone carried in 5 gallon buckets, the mixing of cement to repair the floor. We gave them lunch and whatever they needed for drinks. I see a few bad reviews on this company but I would say it's the customer looking for too much perfection. This company is great with their prices, warranty, and their very hard working employees, Ed always responded when calling with questions or concerns."

This included drying out the area, removing debris, and replacing a ceiling. The work was done efficiently and carefully. "Matthew from Sila was amazing. Not only did he leave what was a mess, super clean, he put in the time necessary to help make sure that all the changes I wanted were in place. New PVC to the sewer line, new extra tap for the vent I'll need next year, re-routed old drains to not only look better, but everything is now tighter-knit and well-organized. Even threaded rods to bracket the drain and valve so that the whole system doesn't shake when it shuts off. I am thoroughly impressed with the focus, the time, and the result. Sila's pricing is high, but in this case I am convinced that I got what I paid for... a system that I won't have to worry about one bit, for many many years to come."

1.  As I mentioned, Dan described the project in great detail, and drew us up a carefully itemized estimate.  This helped us know what we were getting into, what parts of the project we had to understand, what the tradeoffs were, and what questions we had to ask.
2.  When I asked Dan if he carried insurance and workmens' compensation for his workers, he responded promptly and even said that he appreciated being asked this question.
3.  The crew took good care of their tools and machinery and were obviously very skilled at operating their equipment even in tricky conditions.
4.  I was impressed to see how much detail went into setting the walls, and how carefully the mason laid the base of the wall.
5.  We found everyone on the crew to be friendly and responsive.
6.  The estimate included a few "touch up" jobs around the work area, some of which we had asked for, and other ideas that Dan suggested to improve our yard.  These were a small part of the overall project, but made a big difference and were very convenient to have finished all at one time.
