He refinished some existing wood floors, matched and installed new hardwood floors, and his uncle installed some luxury vinyl tile in the bathroom. He did such a wonderful job that we also hired him at our own newly purchased house to refinish existing and install new hardwood, and again his uncle installed tile in our entry. All was finished in a very timely fashion and at a reasonable price. Thank you so much for your excellent work!"

"Lou Toppia was just the expert I needed. Not only was I expecting him to refinish my hardwood floors, I was asking him to come in and work miracles to repair the damage done by another contractor who had a damaged machine created wavy distortions to my floors. Lou made them look beautiful again! He was very honest about what he could and could not make perfect and his work always exceeded my expectations. Lou was careful to keep his work area very clean, cleaned up after himself daily and protected my other living areas by sheeting off the rooms he was refinishing. The final finish is so beautiful, with four coats of satin urethane, I think they look better than the factory finish. I would highly recommend Lou to anyone in need of hardwood flooring installation or refinishing."

"These guys were fantastic. We had replaced our kitchen tile without using Angi’s two years ago. They did a terrible job, not lining the tiles properly, not grouting properly, and they didn’t remove the issues at the base of the tiles, so overtime our tiles were cracking. The contractor had promised us he’d come back to finish the grouting when he left in Friday, but asked for payment. New homeowner mistake, I paid him. He never responded to my messages after that. ALV came in the same day I posted on Angi’s, gave a reasonable quote, and then bought the tiles we were looking at the next day. 3 days later, the project is complete, the grout finished, everything looks fantastic. 10/10 would use these guys again."

"We hired NS Flooring at the recommendation from a tile company. We met with them. We got a quote for our bathroom. We got a second quote from them if we were to do a free standing tub instead of tiling around the existing tub. We started late due to a scheduling error on their part. We have a large master bath. The tile, 12 x 18 was laid nicely. The grout however was placed shallow throughout. We asked them to add grout. This was done in places, but not consistent. The dark edges of the tile visible throughout. . Grout haze was left on every tile. It has taken us hours to remove with a razor. (Large bathroom) we reached out 5 times asking them to come to please finish cleaning it. They did not respond. We chose a poor color match on the shower floor and we asked if it could be removed before they grouted. They did do this. We paid for the extra labor, time and tile. That was clearly our fault. We also had a setback due to an incorrect order being received at the tile company for the tile on the shower walls. In the end things seemed very rushed. Sloppy work on the last days. We have since had another company out to see about adding grout. We also hired someone to skim coat the walls-something they said they would do. The final bill had an additional charge-they admitted an error in their original quote.. We agreed on the original quote but met them in the middle just the same. I do have photos but seems I can not add here."

We hired Clukey Construction to demolish an old 12x34 ft deck with screenroom area and build a new 12x18 ft deck, as well as frame and install a new exterior door just inside our bulkhead door in the basement, and install a new bathroom exhaust fan and vent it through the roof. The estimate Shawn provided was thorough, accurate, and fell right within the range this type of project should cost. He kept in contact with us from beginning to end and made sure that we were well informed throughout the entire project. Shawn and Neil are extremely professional and hard working. They were onsite everyday as long as weather permitted until the job was complete. Everyday they made sure our property was tidy and safe before leaving. Their attention to detail is impeccable, every cut is precise and fits together tightly. Shawn answered all our questions and was always timely in responding to us. I can't say enough positive things about Clukey Construction and we will definitely be calling them for future projects."
