He was clear that he charged for the estimate, and if hired, a portion of the estimate would be taken off the bill. He provided input on the brand of stairs that we purchase based on his previous experience. We purchased the stairs from Home Depot and once we had picked them up, let Bob know we were ready to schedule an installation date. We was able to fit us in quickly. The installation went smoothly and was within the range of the estimate he had provided. He cleaned up the area, leaving it cleaner than we he had arrived. "My kitchen and bathroom renovations are in process. United Home Solutions was willing to step into renovations in process when the first contractor could not continue. The carpentry team is well along with installation of cabinets, trim and baseboards and will build custom shelving. The quality of the work is excellent. They worked with me to choose trim compatible with original trim in my 1860 clapboard home and it looks great! The board and plaster team closed up the remaining spaces with smooth walls. The countertop team and painter have been scheduled. These are good people to work with on a project that has endless decisions in my older home as they discuss the possibilities and know how to implement decisions reached."

"A few notes...
-This is the second time I'd hired Top Notch. In summer 2012, they did some light
carpentry and cabinet repair for me. I was impressed enough that I asked them
to bid on the apartment rehab.
-Their estimator Jim Barry knows his stuff. He understood what I was trying to do, and had
good suggestions for better ways to get what I wanted... Sometimes, he'd even
suggest cheaper alternatives that would look or last better.
-The job's crew chief, Dan, has an amazing set of skills and kept everything moving. Their staff
and subcontractors were competent and easy to work with.
-Top Notch brought enough people to do the job right. At one point they had half a
dozen carpenters, painters and cleaners working in the same apartment.
-They did the "little things" that weren't in the bid, but make the project better. Like, continuing the laminated flooring through the walk-in closets... even though paint or carpet would have been cheaper for them. Or even getting a new battery for a smoke alarm that started beeping on the last
day of the job.
-They finished way ahead of schedule. We had allowed 3 1/2 weeks. They worked nights and
weekends without charging extra, and were done in 13 days. As a landlord,
this was pure gold for me... and I had the place rented a few days later."

"First of all, Ryan contacted me through Angies list to determine exactly what service I needed and if I needed any other accessories such as universal remote, in wall power kit. 
We made a consensual appointment through Angies List. 
Ryan arrived with his colleague and were very punctual which is very important to a busy woman as myself. Both were very professional and proficient. I think the whole installment took about an hour. They were both very polite and respectful.
My living room looks so much cleaner and organized without those ugly wires. The tv is more stable. I dont have to worry about my kids knocking it over with their toys. 
 Before Ryan arrived,  Being a female with no technical knowledge, I was worried that I was going to be badgered into purchasing other services or equipment that I didnt really want. Ryan and his colleague were very respectful and neither tried to manipulate or talk me into buying something I didnt want.  I needed to buy another HDMI cable and Ryan  even told me not to let the salesman talk me into buying an expensive HDMI cable because they all work the same.  He plans on running another HDMI cable through the wall for me with no service charge.
So to me, his service is very impressive. He has true dedication to deliver the best possible service.
