They provided clear information, with pictures, drawings and clear dimensions in the quotation, and separate line items for separate pieces of the job. The crews came on time for both prep work and actual paving, were careful and did a good job, and cleaned up after themselves. Post-project communication via email was also very clear. "I needed a landscaper because my lawn was a mess (more weeds and moss than grass, it seemed), and water was seeping into the basement because of improper gutter drainage and soil grading. Oh, and there was a critter, possibly the skunk that was seen in the area, burrowing underground where there was a gap near my patio – ugh! I hired M&L because the quote was reasonably priced, and Leo was responsive, understanding and cooperative as my landscaping project evolved. The job he ended up doing included building a trench for the gutter downflow, re-grading the entire lawn, creating flowerbeds, installing a fence, doing concrete work (to keep that critter out!), and paving a small section of the yard to hold trash and recycling bins. Leo and his team showed up when they said they would, worked quickly and efficiently, and with the greatest attitude – all of them were hard-working and easy to deal with. "Very professional, on time (early!!), great customer service. Price competitive compared to other contractors for asphalt paving and cobblestone edging of our very large driveway (over 4300 sf). Eric was very personable and kept his agreements. Lee showed up with a crew of 6 workers and really got the job done quickly and professionally. The only sacrifice is, with more than one worker working on the same line of cobblestones, they had to meet in the middle, resulting in some stones needing to be cut smaller to fit in along the edging. Not a real problem unless you're a perfectionist with a bit of ocd tendencies (me? lol). Otherwise it looks & works great. Expensive, but money well spent, a real upgrade in curb appeal."

Another person had been sloppy while reinforcing some loose stones. Todd removed what he did, making the walls look spectacular - just like the original stone walls. He also fixed a stone walkway that was a mess. Many people do not want to bother getting into a mess created by someone else, but Todd accepted the challenge and did a great job.
