"Asphalt Division did an amazing job at an amazing price and finished my (fairly long) driveway (including an area for a car turnaround) on time and ahead of schedule. The good experience started when my call was returned immediately, something that is rare these days where you are lucky if people return your messages at all. Next, John was able to quickly give me an accurate and fair estimate of the project price (using Google Street View) within a few minutes. The best way to stop your pavers from sinking is to ensure you've properly compacted the base layers. Use your paver compactor and work over the base layer several times to create the hardest possible base. If the soil and sand of your base are compact, you’ll experience less shifting and sinking.

An asphalt driveway should be at least 3 inches thick over a compacted gravel base. Areas with poor drainage should have a thicker stone base. To install a new asphalt driveway over an existing driveway, the new asphalt should be at least 2 inches thick and the existing driveway should be in relatively good condition.
