"Had a small concrete job that needed finishing (minor rebar tying and concrete then the concrete mixing/pouring) - and while the weather was good. Anderson was really quick to communicate, and able to give an initial estimate via multiple photos - then followed up with a site visit to confirm. He was able to schedule the job quicker than expected due to finishing another project early, and he (and a helper) worked until nearly dark to finish. They were friendly, hardworking and respectful - leaving the job site as clean as they found it, with only minor clarifications required."

"Excellent work from start to finish. On time initial evaluation and on time repair. Went the "extra mile" to repair additional small crack to ensure minimal water intrusion in foundation. Highly recommended and will use them again (if, that is, I need them :)"

"Busy dog makes a good product, but my sales rep was not clear, did not measure correctly and threw his install team under the bus when they questioned what he had specified. I had stripped the carpet and wall in preparation for the installation, and the installation did not allow me to put the room back together without hiring another contractor to work around what they did. The sales rep did not order enough pipe to route the water all the way out, and so it currently comes out halfway under my barn!!! I called busy dog to complain and they said they would fix it, but I have not heard back from them again."

Concrete Walls questions, answered by experts

Yes. Foundation walls are always load-bearing.

The actual moisture level that is acceptable for your concrete floor depends on what primer or flooring material you plan to install above it. For this reason, you should check the manufacturer’s instructions for the exact details.

Generally, the moisture levels should be 3.5% to 4.5%, although it does vary. Some products can handle higher levels of moisture, so you should always test your concrete before purchasing your flooring materials.

Through proper drainage solutions and compacting the foundation soil.

Brick walls are typically more expensive than concrete walls due to higher material and labor costs. Brick wall costs can range from $10 to $45 per square foot, plus $70 to $110 per hour for labor. Meanwhile, concrete block walls usually cost $10 to $20 per square foot, depending on the material type. Labor for concrete tends to be less intensive and costly. Ultimately, concrete is often the more affordable choice, especially for larger projects.

Yes, thicker concrete is less likely to crack. The thicker the concrete is, the less susceptible it is to extreme changes in weather conditions that often cause concrete to crack or chip. If you’re unable to install a thicker concrete driveway for any reason, you can also ask your professional to install more rebar or wire mesh to provide greater strength and better resilience to damage.
