"MAB Woodworking responded to our online request for kitchen cabinet remodeling to accommodate a new current model refrigerator. Our 45 year old Amana refrigerator died suddenly & no modern refrigerator could fit into the existing built-in space. Ugh! Michael Butler, MAB founder, visited our home first to scope out a vision for moving the cabinets to allow room for a new KitcenAid 36” counter depth refrigerator. Michael sensed our urgency, immediately scheduled the repair, giving us a firm date for refrigerator install & appeared two days later completing the work on time & on budget. "Cabinet Cures was the absolute best company to redo my cabinets! I checked with other companies that do similar work, but cabinet cures is all about quality. I chose white cabinets. Other companies use a thermofoil product that can peel or melt off, but Cabinet Cures uses the same process as new white wood cabinets. When covering the face of the inside of cabinets, they us 1/4 inch of wood covering, not a thin, cheap veneer that can peel off. The end result is virtually brand new cabinets in 5 days instead of having to gut the whole kitchen taking 3 months and costing 3-4 times as much!!!! The installers were so professional, dependable and respectful. They cleaned up after each day, and there was little disruption to my home. The company answered questions and responded quickly to any issues or concerns. Every day that I see my beautiful kitchen, I know I made the right choice and used the absolute best company there is!!! It came out perfect and I could not be happier!!!! Thank you Cabinet Cures for such a beautiful, time saving, cost containing solution to making my kitchen so awesome!"
Even the adjacent dining area benefited from the update.

Customers say: Quick response

"We had a great experience with Beautiful Finish and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a kitchen cabinet facelift. Rory was extremely communicative and helpful when it came to making cabinet-related decisions. Rory and the rest of the crew started the job ahead of the originally scheduled start date, arrived on time every day, and were meticulous in their work. We're so happy with the finished product! (On a side note, after they left, we discovered that one of our oven knobs was preventing a drawer from opening completely. Rory came out right away to figure out a solution and correct it)."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Solid wood is the most common material for cabinet bases. It’s a popular choice because it’s durable and will hold up over time. Oak, maple, cherry, hickory, and pine are all types of solid wood that can be used to build cabinet bases. Other options include plywood, medium-density fiberboard, and other types of manufactured lumber, but they need to be sealed properly to avoid swelling, separating, and delamination from moisture.

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.

On average, it costs about 30% to 50% less to reface than to replace custom or semi-custom cabinets. However, the most affordable cabinet replacement projects tend to cost about the same amount as the average cabinet refacing project. These are replacement projects that involve pre-made stock cabinet styles rather than custom designs.

Yes, most builders include installation as part of the service. Confirm details with your provider.

It depends on your ceiling height. Wall cabinets are typically mounted 54 inches from the floor. So, if you have eight-foot ceilings, you’ll need 42-inch-high wall cabinets to fill the gap. And you’ll need 54-inch cabinets if you have nine-foot ceilings. But standard-sized cabinets don’t come in 54 inches, so you'll need to stack various sizes together. And, if you have ceilings higher than nine feet, it’s a good idea to have custom stacked cabinets made to fill your space.
