"We had John and the crew do work on our driveway, including fixing the apron and putting down new stone on our approximately 100‑ft long driveway. The process was done right from start to finish—they laid down hard pack first, rolled it out, then added the stone and rolled that as well. A new asphalt apron was installed at the top, and it came out beautiful. In addition, a drain was installed in our other driveway to catch water running down from the road, which made a big difference. John and the crew were professional, on time, and extremely hard‑working. We plan to hire them again this spring to asphalt our other driveway. Highly recommend John and the crew for quality work and great results."

"I called Mike on Saturday morning to discuss the scope of work I was looking to have done. From the time he said hello on the phone to our last contact, Mike was professional every step of the way.
Initially he was not sure that he could do the job because his schedule was really booked. After he reviewed the weather for the week he was able to squeeze me in on a rainy day.
On the day of the job, his 3 men crew came on time, they were professional, courteous, friendly, and did an amazing job. Trim work was on point and they did not use any painters tape. What I loved about them was that the job was done quickly and efficiently.
At the end of the job, they cleaned up so well that it looked like they were never there.
Mike thanks again for squeezing us in and for providing great service."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

The average cost to repair an asphalt driveway is around $2,459 to $2,500. However, prices can range from $100 for minor DIY crack filling to over $4,000 for more extensive professional work. Costs are often calculated per foot, with minor repairs costing $1 to $3 per linear foot and heavier damage like potholes, sinking, or crumbling costing $2 to $5 per linear foot. Patching smaller potholes can cost around $2 to $3 per square foot. The final price depends on the severity and extent of the damage, driveway design, local contractor rates, and whether sealing is included. For major repairs, it is recommended to hire a professional, and you may get a better deal by bundling repair and sealing services together.

It takes recycled asphalt 48 hours to initially harden and up to 3 months to fully cure. It’s best to stay off of recycled asphalt for at least 48 hours, then you can walk or drive standard vehicles on it. Hold off on driving heavy trucks or equipment on it for at least 7 days. Allowing the surface to melt together and harden ensures that the surface stays durable and long-lasting.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.

Gravel is the cheapest way to extend a driveway. Gravel is an affordable, practical option that’s easy to install and perfect for DIY projects, helping you save on labor costs. It can be quickly spread and leveled to create extra driveway space without heavy preparation. While gravel doesn’t offer the same durability or finished look as concrete or asphalt, its low cost makes it ideal for budget-conscious homeowners who want a functional solution without overspending.
