"I you think there aren't any more gentlemen in this world, Patrick will prove you wrong. We had two big metal pieces from our roof that act as lightning rods/weather vanes that were rusted. Patrick sandblasted and primed them. They came out great! We had a miscellaneous piece of metal from a barn door that he also did. He was great to work with and very nice! I will hire him again once we have any future metal work. Great service!"

"I had two small projects I needed blasted and cleaned up and this company was very easy to deal with. They delivered the service at a reasonable rate and did the job in a very short amount of time. I would recommend anybody to use Blast Bros for this service"

"I've worked with a number of different landscaping companies and always struggled in balancing, high quality work, service, and cost. That was until I found these guys. Simply put, every job they've had has exceeded our expectation. Whenever I have a question, or request for a quote he gets back to me within minutes and is often times is at my house within an hour to help me figure it out. Work gets done within days (not weeks, or months) and he is always there to kick off the project and ensure it's done to his high standard at the end. His pricing is average, but the quality of the work is second to none. I couldn't recommend him and his teams work more, I wish every company I worked with had the same level of service/quality. The only issue we have is that he does such a good job we keep adding more projects :)"

"Lou did a Great Job! The windows had not been cleaned in a year, so they were in rough shape. When Lou was done, the windows were so clear and clean it was like the glass was not even there! Last year I used a company out of Hingham. They charged me exactly TWICE as much as Window Washer Pros, with no discernible difference in the quality of the job. Lou also asked me about the job I wanted done, to clarify the service level and ensure we were on the same page. Very solid "customer first" approach, made me feel comfortable right up front that the job would map to my expectations. As such, the VALUE that Window Washer Pros delivers is spectacular. With the Customer care and promptness of arrival, I would highly recommend Window Washer Pros. A Quality job at a fair price.

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

If you’re DIYing the project, it could take up to a week if you aren’t able to dedicate full-time hours. If you hire a professional and they arrive with a team, expect your stairs to be sanded in as little as 2 hours (for simple projects). Finishing the stairs takes a while longer as there are drying and sealing times to consider, but the actual work will take much less time than the sanding portion.

Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.
