"I had the estimate for the work done which went fine, then called to book the appointment. Was required to put down $200 for the $650 projected repair cost. I did this thinking there would be no issues between then and the repair date. My wife is quite pregnant and we had to move up the repair date to get the nursery ready in time for their birth. (twins) When I called to cancel this appointment and seek a refund of the $200, I was told that the window to cancel was 3 days from the scheduling and that I was forfeit my deposit. This information is in the contract, but I did not catch it at the time. I could only imagine if this were a bigger project and something like this happened to someone else. For the cost of $200 Pioneer Basement has not only lost me as a future customer, but forced my hand in posting several poor reviews such as this one. For any future customers, pay very close attention to this and hope "life" doesn't happen to you in between. Good luck."

"I was massively overcharged. I called about low water pressure. I have well water and figured it was sediment or mineral buildup. Told them that on the phone. They installed a $44.00 part form Home Depo in less than 30 min and charged $645.00! When I asked how much it was for the part and how much for labor, he refused to itemize the bill. He asked me questions about where I worked before writing the bill. He said I was paying for his truck being filled with parts. I am not paying for him to be in business. I am disputing the charges."

We always heard from Curt when he said we would hear from him, and the team on-site was a hard-working group of professionals. The quote from Real Dry was about 3k less than competitors. There were no high-pressure sales tactics, and no surprise add-ons to the quote. And the work they performed is top notch!
