"I hired this company because they charged me $49.99 to come to the house. Lewis , the technician, was wonderful. He replaced the toilet as I agreed. The toilet I wanted was a bit more expensive so I went with his suggestion . The total was $850. Which was high, minus my $49.99. Now $799. He sent me the invoice and I feel I was charged for $99.99 member fee, and $44.00 for an almost empty bottle of Mr Rooter drain cleaner. What?? That's crazy I got the least expensive toilet $223.00 at Home Depot. And I paid $799 for the service. Oh the $99.00 member fee was Free because I would have had to pay an additional $102.00 without it. What the heck does that mean. I should have left the $49.99 and gotten someone else to do the job. "Wow! Unbelievable! If we ever have a water problem again, Pioneer will be the only waterproofing company that we call. We were getting some water in our basement which has a stack-stone foundation and radiant floor heating. We interviewed three companies and were particularly concerned about a solution that would stop the water without compromising the radiant tubes that were in the floor. Initially, Pioneer recommended a baseboard system that would run along the outside of the wall. Upon inspection, Mike Oliveira discussed a traditional drain to sump pump solution. The team showed up on time, cleared a 50' span of concrete by Noon, uncovered two sections of radiant tubing without puncturing the line, installed the moisture barrier, sump pump and new concrete by 4 p.m. They had to drill through a hefty header board to connect the pump line to an existing drainage line that carries water away from home and that was completed by 5:30 p.m. Mike came back in a week and we tested the fix using free-flow from our sprinkler system -- it worked perfectly. Subsequently we've had some consistent spring rain and absolutely no water in the basement.
