"

I was given Claudiana Reis's name through my painter, Derrick Schmidt of Schmidt Painting.  Claudiana's company is Cape Cod Super Maids.  We use them to clean our home, and they do a fantastic job.  They respond promptly to my requests for cleaning.

I have not met them, because they clean our home before we come and after we leave, but the house always looks spotless, and they do nice little extra touches that make it seem like you are in a hotel.

The cost is based on an hourly rate and by the number of people brought to clean- - they schedule the time needed by the size of the home and what type of cleaning is needed.  In our case, a crew of 4 is brought in.  After our hardwood floors were done,  we needed a deep cleaning.  Otherwise it is a lighter cleaning.

I highly recommend Cape Cod Super Maids.

"Excellent!! Maria goes above and beyond what is requested. She is trustworthy which is most important and she is thorough without any shortcuts. The townhouse always shines when she is finished which includes emptying trash, dusting and cleaning the toilets, sinks, oven and refrigerator. She even helps with the laundry. She is very professional!!"

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

You should strip and wax hardwood floors every six months to two years. The actual length of time between stripping and waxing depends on the wear and tear that the floors see. Stripping and waxing floors can help repair hardwood floor damage and give the room a fresh look.

Before starting on a full refinishing project, determine if your floors need to be completely sanded down to the bare wood or if the damage is shallow and mostly cosmetic. Deep scratches and gouges will require you to rough sand using a drum sander or belt sander, but small surface scratches or floors that have only lost their luster don’t need a complete overhaul. Instead, you can skip the rough sanding step and sand-screen the old finish with a buffer, removing only the top layer of polyurethane.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.

To properly maintain natural stone surfaces, use pH-neutral cleaners for regular cleaning and avoid acidic substances that can cause damage or etching. It is also important to reseal the surfaces periodically, especially for porous stones, to protect the finish, maintain appearance, and ensure longevity.
