We had a GAF HD shingle roof installed previously, that was approximately 8 years old. Hurricane Ida winds were (my estimate as we were in our home during the storm) 130mph sustained for 6-8 hours. We considered both shingle and the standing seam metal roof for our roof replacement. We chose the standing seam metal roof as the most cost effective long term solution. Garcia Roofing installed a 26 gauge standing seam metal roof for us. We’re very pleased with our new roof. It’s beautiful and very well installed. We chose the medium bronze color. The installation crew did a superior job. We had to replace 36 CDX plywood sheets to fix the damaged roof deck. Additionally, we had facia/soffit repairs included.
