We gave him and idea of what we were looking far and the finished product came out even better than we could have imagined. Mr. Glenn was honest and his service was A-1. "I am very satisfied with Ed's work.  Ed strives to please and everything he does he strives to achieve perfection.  He uses two family members to assist him who are as pleasant to have around as himself.  All of the cutting and sanding is done outside so construction dust minimized.  If your job requires attention to detail and fine fitting Ed is the right person to do your project. He was always ready to customize to suit our needs and was always willing to conceptualize projects with us.  Ed, of course, is in demand but it is worth waiting for him to schedule your project.  If he subcontracts part of a job, he uses only contractors that meet his high standards.

"Incredibly professional and meticulous and enthusiastic. His workers were great, did a fabulous job. He kept on schedule and dealt with other contractors and some messy problems caused by others. He was exceptionally clean and was tuned into protecting and keeping my house from damage. His work was superb.

We have no complaints at all.

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Begin by analyzing the blueprints and gathering the proper materials before framing a house. With the prep stages behind you, begin by framing the floor of a house on the newly set foundation. Exterior and interior walls come next, along with rough openings for doors and windows. Contractors will then add ceiling and roof rafters to finish things off.

Homeowners can increase the usefulness of their garage space in other ways, and one option is to extend the length of the garage by making it deeper. The process is similar to traditional garage extensions, but the end product is a garage with a different layout rather than additional parking spaces.

Framing a basement takes three to five days, on average, when completed by a professional, though it may take longer for a larger space. Keep in mind this doesn’t include the time to complete the design, obtain permits, and install the drywall on the framing. On average, fully finishing a basement takes an average of 45 days.

Framing most homes takes anywhere between five and eight weeks to complete. You’ll need to account for inclement weather conditions, material shipment times, the number of crew members, and the weight of your materials. If the weather is too hot, wet, or cold for the installation, this process could take closer to eight weeks.
