It is OK to pour boiling water down a garbage disposal as it can help flush out any build-up or waste. If you pour baking soda and white vinegar down the drain first and flush it with boiling water, the combination often dissolves a grease or oil clog. 

You can’t simply throw your ductwork out with your usual trash because waste management won’t accept especially large or bulky garbage without a prior appointment. Instead, you’ll need to haul it to the dump yourself or hire a service to do it for you. It's a quick way to get value from leaves, grass clippings, and other yard debris without the time or effort composting requires.

You have several options for disposing of excess sand. Any extra sand from your project can be used as part of your topsoil mixture to level out an uneven lawn. You can also donate it, give it to a green waste facility, or ask neighbors if they need sand. Another option is to try reselling it on a marketplace or simply returning unused bags to the original store.
