"SES always impresses us with their quality and attention to care but never before have we been as blown away by their professionalism as with our most recent project. Project involved removal of a metal spiral staircase, removal of cat urine saturated flooring, resealing and leveling of the floor, tiling, construction of a new wooden staircase, painting and staining of wooden staircase and (a request made after seeing how transformative this project was proving to be) cleaning, patching and painting of the walls and trim. Due to some hiccups, the project extended past the provided timeline and SES agreed (and again, this is after we threw a potential wrench in their plans making an additional request after the project commenced) to begin covering the cost of the continued boarding of the cats. In short, I cannot shout loudly enough our appreciation for SES!"

"I used them for a couple of jobs as I got my house ready to sell.  The communication was not good throughout the process and I had to call back several times and make scheduling corrections and get more details about who would be responsible for what.  That was frustrating.
The flooring in my living room was a thin wood floor that had too many scratches and I was replacing it with laminate to improve the look of this large area before the house went on the market.  Anyway, I explained that it was glued down and asked questions about how they would tear it out, etc.  Then the workers get there and I get a call that "the floor is glued down!".  They tore it out, but it took time and effort.  And it was a mess.  I'm glad I didn't try this prior to moving out of the house.  But they got it done and put down laminate and that looked good for the most part.  Except for they did not replace any of the transition pieces.  Once I saw the "completed" job with no transitions, I complained and they put down some, only it was an ugly job with transitions that did not match the flooring.  Just obviously mismatched junk from leftover pieces they had laying around or something.
I guess it was a mixed bag, the laminate floor did look good in the end, but communication was terrible and it took many visits (time off of work for me) to get the job done.
I may use them again in the future, but they won't be my first choice.

"General Contractor and workers are trust worthy and very neat.  Daily tarps were laid and all traces were cleaned up at the end of the shift.  No extra costs.  Work was completed within the estimated timeline.
I have done three major jobs with this contractor and have been very satisfied.  Capstone renovated a sun room and two bathrooms on previous projects and I will continue to use them for all home updates.
In addition, they handled a home inspection for my daughter when she recently bought a new home.  Arrived promptly, did a thorough inspection//Charge $275."

"They have done very good work and they know what they are doing. The quality of their work is good and they do things in a timely manner. They clean up when they are done and I would recommend them."

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.
