"Handy and his assistant were wonderful! I needed my television mounted and hired him to do the job. My television is an older flat screen and the brace I bought did not fit the back of my tv. Handy not only gave me suggestions on the type of brace I needed but came back a few days later to put the tv up! Btw, his suggestion saved me $200, a serious discount on the brace I originally bought from Best Buy! The tv looks wonderful and I will DEFINITELY be using him again! Thanks Handy!!!"

Tipping is always appreciated, especially for a labor-intensive mounting job or one that requires multiple people and hours.

Do not install a TV above an active fireplace or wood-burning stove because of excess heat and temperature fluctuations. Another place that can be tricky for electronics is the bathroom, where moisture can be a factor. If you choose to mount a TV in these areas, you should find a weather-resistant appliance.

It’s highly recommended to use studs for a TV mount. The last thing you want is to be watching your favorite show when the TV falls off the wall. Studs are much stronger than drywall and quite a bit stronger than drywall anchors but, if you can’t find the studs or there simply aren’t any where you need them, you can use drywall anchors. It’s extremely important to make sure the anchors are rated for the load of the TV. We recommend using anchors that are rated far beyond the weight of whatever you’re hanging. Our suggestion is metal drywall toggle anchors. 

Coax cable connects to your television, modem, or cable box. Look for a female coax connection on these devices. Your coax cable will connect to any of these. The other end of the wire runs to the service connection coming into the house.

If you don’t have studs in the area where you want to install your TV mount, you may still be able to install a TV mount on drywall. The easiest way to install a mount on drywall is by using drywall anchors—but not just any plastic anchors. Choose molly bolts or toggle anchors, which have a weight capacity of around 50 pounds. For added support, consider pairing drywall anchors with a wall mounting plate. Extra heavy TVs may need to be mounted via the ceiling joists or beams.
