"Leanne and her team were amazing to work with! She was professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. Kidd’s Landscaping was able to clean our flowerbed, add new plants that were compatible with the amount of sun the area receives, and add irrigation for us. Highly recommend them for any projects you may have!"

"

Wow, they did an amazing job.  Before they arrived my lawn looked like a jungle.  I was extremely surprised how well my lawn looked when I arrived home.  I initially spoke with Eric to set-up my appointment and he was very professional.   Later I received a call from Mike who was also professional.  Thanks Great Job.

"Edward lawn service has helped me for many years. I don’t have to call this company because they keep a schedule of when they need to come back to cut your grass and etc. I would do it myself but it’s so much more convenient for me when they’re always on time. I trust this company so much until I don’t have to be around at my house when they have to come take care of my yard work. Edward lawn prices are unbeatable. So, if you need any landscaping, yard work, tree services and etc, Edward Lawn Service will be the right company to call. I would rate this service at high (5) star."

"A tornado came through my property. A-Plus gave me a very fair bid to take down a tree that was up against a power line, remove some large stumps, grade some land to improve drainage, and move brush, limbs, and logs around. I feel like I got my money's worth and much more. My wife feels like Brian gave us our lives back. I know he showed up on time, kept us in the loop on what he was doing, and did absolutely excellent work. He is my first call from now on for anything to do with trees, irrigation, and landscaping. I highly recommend this company."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Technically, yes, at least some of the grass seed you throw on the ground will germinate. If the area doesn’t have good drainage, rain or overwatering can move seeds before they have germinated, leaving your patches still patchy. What does grow won’t have strong roots if there isn’t proper aeration.

Birds eat grass seed for one simple reason—it’s delicious! The seeds are rich in nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Seeds are also high in energy, so humans eat trail mix loaded with seeds and nuts for long-distance activities. Grass seed, when unprotected, is also exceptionally easy to access.

Yes, you should water your grass after seeding it. During the first couple of weeks after laying the seed, you should water the lawn two or three times per day for 10 to 15 minutes each session. After that, you can switch to 20- or 30-minute watering sessions every other day.

One of the best ways to save money on lawn care is to sign up for an annual contract for ongoing service rather than paying for one-off or as-needed services. If you guarantee a landscaping company ongoing work, they’re more likely to give you a break on the cost. Plus, ongoing services will keep your property in tip-top shape and help avoid the high cost of playing catch up on an overgrown lawn. You can also save money by sticking to the basics and foregoing add-on services like weeding and pest treatments.

While hydroseeding is typically meant for bare soil, it is possible to hydroseed over an existing lawn with some adjustments. For the new seed to germinate and thrive, it needs good seed-to-soil contact. Without it, most of the seed may not take root and will die. To improve your chances of success when repairing a patchy area, mow any existing grass as low as possible and loosen any exposed soil before application. It is also recommended to use a finer mulch mixture when spraying, as this will help the seeds reach the soil and root without suffocating the existing grass.
