"The entire HVAC system stopped working on our newly bought home (closed 2 months ago). So that was a shock; and of course it was during the hottest part of summer in south Louisiana with a heat index of 107* The initial technician that was dispatched (Luke) was open and honest with us about the condition of the system from the very start. He actually showed me where the problems were and took time to explain what those meant for our system. I was honestly worried that I was going to have a guy come out and spend a few minutes looking at it and just say "you need a new one." But Luke took the time to explain exactly why we should consider a new system but he also didn't pressure us into it. He was willing to go with whatever we were comfortable with doing. We talked about the different options for repairs. He was honest about the uncertainty of those fixes and exactly what would be covered by their warranty and what wouldn't. The fact that he showed me physical evidence to back up all of the repairs he recommended helped make the decision so much easier for us. After discussing all of our options with him, we decided to replace the entire system (super scary concept for a 1st time homeowner that hasn't even fully unpacked the moving boxes). Mr. Teddy Swan (the design consultant) came out within 30 minutes and spent hours with me discussing our unique situation and designing a system that fit our needs and our budget. He went through our house with a fine tooth comb and walked me through his thought process every step of the way. He explained the good and the bad. We talked about what our budget was, and from there he drew up multiple design plans and levels of service for us to chose from. And then he did everything in his power to make sure we got the financing we needed for the job. Two days later and we sit in our home in comfort. None of this would have been possible without Teddy and the guys behind the scenes at Accutemp. The cost was more than I expected, not going to lie. And I know we could have found another company to do it cheaper (you can always find a cheaper guy) but with inflation being what it is and with the quality of service we were provided, I understand the cost. I now have complete peace of mind over the next 10 years because of their "not a dime" warranty and that alone is worth the cost to me. Thankfully Accutemp offers great financing so we were able to get the entire job accomplished for a very affordable monthly note. "Potentially since new ownership has taken over, Surgis is no longer a trustworthy company. They have showed a lack of integrity and professionalism that goes beyond what I have ever experienced with a company. 1. They installed our system and we have spent 15K+ with them over the years. We have always had Surgis upkeep our system and have trusted them to do a good job. 2. We noticed moisture in the attic and asked Surgis to look into it. They improperly diagnosed the issue and the result ended up creating mold around our vents. We payed 1600 in mold remediation and drywall repair. 3. They properly diagnosed the problem and admitted it was not addressed correctly and this should have been caught during the install process. When given the quote for the work, we asked for a price reduction since this was a quality control issue on their end. 4. A manager called us and stated this was a discounted price even though this was not noted on the paperwork. During these conversations, Scott hung up on us.we requested calls from upper management but never received a call back. We really just wanted the issue resolved and decided to proceed to schedule the work with Surgis. 5. When we received the breakdown of the work, we noticed the cost of the vent covers which we already had purchased prior to. We called asked if they could use ours to help reduce price. Instead, they canceled the work and said they would never work on our unit even though we currently have a warranty with them. After calling back to try and get the work scheduled, they stated they no longer had the technical staff to do the job. 6. After getting quotes from other companies, the prices we were getting were significantly less, showing that Surgis lied about a discount or they are just majorly price gouging all customers. We also asked other companies if they would be able to do the work quickly since Surgis made it seem so technical. All other companies told us anyone who installs a system or does duct work needs to know how to do the work we needed or customers would be dealing with the moisture that we found ourselves with. 7. I called Surgis back as a final attempt to get management to work with us and was told we have your information they wouldn’t take any additional information for me. My tone wasn’t heated and I asked the phone rep to please just take the notes and request a call from upper management and she hung up on me. If Surgis was truthful in their reason to cancel the work on our unit, they currently don’t have the staff that has the skills to properly install AC units. If you have Surgis install your unit and find errors, they will not work to resolve the issue and will likely charge you more than necessary for repairs. You would think some upper management would have intervened but that never happened. "We had a 22kw liquid cooled QS Generac installed. Since installation, we have had 3 gas leaks and it wasn’t even working since install. We were told they wouldn’t come out until final walk through and not to worry since there is nothing in the Gulf. Ok, fine. Today was the final walk through and it was not a great experience. We were told that we still owed $600. We gave them a deposit of $600 in March that was to go towards the balance. We have an invoice, sales order and initial contract that all have the same amount owed total. No where does it say the $600 credit was applied, even under the payments/credits section. The only difference was the initial contract has the concrete pad and the recent invoice and sales order had a stand. Still the same amount due. We even called the company before to verify the amount and we’re told that it was $20,108.34= $600 off from deposit. So, that’s the amount we got in a check for them. When I called, I was sent to Craig. He was condescending, rude and outright degrading. When he realized we weren’t going to agree and we’re at an impasse, I apologized saying I was sorry we got here and his response was to tell me that “yes, you are sorry and you should write a check for $600.” He went on to tell me that he didn’t know what world I lived in but he lives in the “real world” and that you pay what you owe. We don’t owe anymore. If we did, the contract, invoice, sales order and phone call should have said so. He even went as far as to say that it’s obvious we don’t have money and so, could not pay the $600. No, I’m just not paying more for what I’ve already paid for. This is not great business and disgusting behavior from a manager. Do better and check your contracts."
