"Mathew Montesusco and Francisco Valdez were excellent workers and performed an excellent job on our shower remodel. Very professional, polite, and cleaned as they worked. It looks fantastic! They left everything cleaned as they found it. People like them can only make your company succeed. We would highly recommend them and your company. Thank you! Bob & Connie Risley"

"Y'all. I'm putting these people in my phone contacts as "My Plumbers." If being able to trust the people working in your home and knowing the work done is solid are your priorities, then stop right now and hire these guys. I have had a journey, and our house is very old. Our plumbing completely failed a week and a half ago, like... dig up the yard failure. After multiple companies either failed to address the problem, didn't show, ripped me off, or actually made the problem worse, I didn't know what to DO! I found these folks on Angie's List, and the reviews got me thinking, so I had them come out for a quote. They were one of the only companies that were able to get me in before Christmas, when all other places were telling me I'd be in a hotel ringing in the new year! They sent out Anthony and Josh. They have been like the plumbing dynamic duo - they communicate efficiently with one another, and know their job well enough that all the bajillions of hiccups inherent to an old house did not stop them from their goal of getting us back in our home for Christmas - and spend part of their Christmas Eve to make sure it happened for my family. AND they came with smiles on their faces in really horrible weather for an outside job in the cold. Anthony and Josh have been 100% honest with me and straightforward. They explained clearly what we needed done and gave me all the potential options to choose from. I never once felt like they were making unnecessary recommendations or trying to sell me anything. They were simply knowledgeable, helpful, and trustworthy. Theirs was not the cheapest quote, but sometimes you need to consider that you get what you pay for. The cheapest job was not my goal - a solid fix from a company I could trust to do other potential work without trying to sell me down the river was way more important. There's more work to be done, for sure. BUT - they will most definitely always be the ones to do it, and I could not recommend them more highly."

"Last summer I had Advanced Restoration provide me a proposal to repair my crawlspace which was affordable and with a lifetime warranty. Marty, the Estimator was very helpful, took pictures and described what needed to be done. He was laid back and its refreshing to have someone who comes from help instead of trying sell me something. All the crew was very helpful, informative keeping me apprised of the progress and work. Every day they did a wonderful job of cleaning up, especially since my crawlspace access is in the garage. At completion, the Installers sat down with me and described everything they had done with great detail. Also, a superb job of clean at the end of the job in the crawlspace. I would recommend them to anybody."

"Tony Ferrell does a great job. Not only did he travel all the way to Greeneville for this project but he sacrificed more time than the job should've taken. First he removed my waterheater which was in a tight compartment space ( mobile home) and took it back to Lowes for me to be replaced ( was still under warranty) but stayed there with me while I had to deal with Lowes customer service over replacement. We were actually there 3 1/2 to 4 hours before we finally got a new water heater. Which Tony hauled back to my home and installed. He never complained, didn't leave a mess in my house, and did a wonderful job. Although I was stressed out over the issues I had with Lowes and the time that we had spent there I was still grateful for Tony seeing this job thru for me. Thank you Tony Ferrell and may the good Lord bless you and your business abundantly."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

In older Williamsburg properties, transitioning between outdated metal pipes and modern materials requires exact fittings to prevent severe leaks. Crawl space plumbing demands proper insulation to survive freezing temperatures without bursting. Sewer lateral work needs precise sloping to avoid property backups. Furthermore, improper drain venting, incorrect water heater installations, and missing backflow preventers create serious hazards, making professional execution essential.

Helpful?

Start by checking with local Williamsburg authorities to determine permit requirements. Verify your chosen professional holds a valid state license. Coordinate early with municipal utilities if your plumbing project involves water main or sewer connections. Determine whether your property relies on city sewer or a septic system. Inspect older homes for outdated pipe materials before beginning work.

Helpful?

Mandatory inspections require a waiting period between rough-in plumbing and final completion. Discovering deteriorated pipes in older Williamsburg homes expands the required work. Sourcing specialty parts from neighboring supply hubs adds travel time to the project. Limited crawl space access slows progress. Additionally, coordinating water shutoffs with municipal utilities or scheduling during winter freeze events extends timelines across multiple visits.

Helpful?

Avoid delays by confirming permit requirements with local authorities before starting your plumbing project. Always verify your contractor holds an active KY state license. Assess existing pipe materials to identify deteriorated cast iron early in the process. Contact Williamsburg utilities in advance for water main shutoffs. Schedule non-emergency work outside of the peak winter freeze season to secure faster service times.

Helpful?

Protect your plumbing from harsh KY winters by insulating exposed pipes in crawl spaces before November. Shut off and thoroughly drain outdoor hose bibs every fall. During spring, inspect sump pumps and sewer lines for damage from heavy rainfall. In summer, check cold water lines for excessive condensation issues and test outdoor irrigation connections for proper function.
