"Excellent service for a virtual format. Would definitely recommend this very affordable alternative to the traditional technician having to come to your home to evaluate and fix a malfunctioning appliance."

"I did not actually hire this company. They were one of four companies to come to my cabin to give me a bid on getting rid of the water in my ducks under my slab. I had four people give me a bids, with a high bid of $8000. Marty actually made two trips out to the cabin and brought with him Mike the second time. They came up with a way that I could do it myself for less than $200. I ve owned this cabin since 2005 and I ve spent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars of work done on it. I have never run across a company that told me a way that I could do it myself very inexpensively and it would solve the problem. Five stars don t seem like enough, I wish I could give them 100. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future for my waterproofing needs."

"Alford did a great job in actually doing the work.  They did what they said they'd do for the price quoted at the time they said they'd do it.
My issue was getting to that point.  They were prompt in providing an initial estimate.  However as I had questions and wanted to discuss specifics of the proposed scope of work - they were tardy.  I had trouble getting the work scope concerns addressed in a timely manner.  I had to work my way through their company bureaucracy to the owner before my concerns could be resolved.
As above, once we got to doing the project all went well, with no issues.

The hose bib, named because it connects to a garden hose, can also go by many other names. Although they are different, the terms hose bib and spigot are often used interchangeably. Hose bibs may also be called outdoor faucets, outdoor taps, lawn hydrants, the hose valve, or the hose attachment.

For a fully-foamed hot tub, freezing typically occurs when the temperature drops below 28 degrees Fahrenheit and remains at or below this level continuously for a minimum of 36 hours. If your hot tub and pumps are still operational, however, the water circulates, and this continuous movement helps prevent freezing, even in very cold conditions. This circulation, along with the insulation provided by the foam, helps maintain the water temperature and prevent it from freezing during extended cold periods. Still, if you’re not planning to run it regularly, be sure to winterize the hot tub properly to prevent damage from freezing.

Yes, hydro jetting can potentially damage pipes, particularly if they are old or weakened. The high-pressure water can be too abrasive for fragile pipes, potentially causing cracks or breaks. For this reason, it is highly recommended to have a professional evaluate the condition of your pipes before the procedure. However, for newer pipes made from materials like PVC, which is common for sewer lines, hydro jetting is generally considered safe.

You definitely can over-tighten toilet tank bolts. Unlike some other materials, porcelain can’t bend or flex, so when you over-tighten a screw into it, it could break against the added pressure. Only tighten them as much as needed to keep them in place and firm; any more and you could risk breaking the porcelain.

Start by pouring hot—but not boiling—water down the drain. The heat of the water may be enough to break down the clog. You can also try ½ cup of dish soap or 1 cup each of white vinegar and baking soda. If you choose a chemical unclogging product, ensure it’s appropriate for toilets to avoid damage.
