"It was an exceptional experience to work with this company. They provided carpet samples that were superior to others I looked at. The installation was seamless. I love my carpet and am very happy I did business with them. Iâ m about to carpet another area and Iâ m calling them for my quote."

"They were very diligent in what they did. They cleaned all my air ducts. They made sure everything was done completely and properly even when other people that gave me estimates said "well we cannot do that duct because we cannot reach it". They found ways of doing it and they made sure that everything was done properly. They went well beyond what they said they would do. They did a great job on cleaning my carpet also. They did things that were not even part of what they were hired to do. We were talking about a chandelier I had and they said "that is pretty dusty" and I said it was too high I cannot reach it. They said  "oh I can reach it", and he got up and cleaned my chandelier for me. It was not anything that we had discussed before they came up to do the job. They also did my dryer vent free of charge.  They charged a little more but the quality of their work and the extra care they did was well worth it.. They went well above and beyond what they agreed to do just to make sure that my my ducts and carpets were clean, and that I was happy with their service.  I could not have gotten anybody that would have done a better job."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install new flooring is around $3,162, with a typical price range between $1,530 and $4,860. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay an average of $3 to $22, including installation. Several factors influence the total price, including the flooring material, project size, geographic location, and any special features. Material choice is a significant cost driver; vinyl plank, linoleum, and carpet are on the lower end ($3 to $7 per square foot), while stone, tile, and hardwood are more expensive, with hardwood reaching up to $22 per square foot. Prices can also vary by region, and installing flooring on stairs will add to the cost, typically ranging from $11 to $160 per step.

The life span of carpet in a home with children and animals depends on factors like the carpet material’s quality, how frequently you clean and maintain it, and the level of foot traffic. On average, carpets need to be replaced every five to 15 years. Signs of wear, matting, or persistent odors may indicate that it's time to contact a local flooring company to replace your carpet.

Yes. When installed properly, the strong adhesive on carpet tiles keeps them in place while also allowing homeowners the flexibility to peel up an individual tile and replace it if they need to. It’s important to keep in mind that the adhesive on your carpet tiles may take some time to cure, so it’s best to leave them alone for a couple of days after you first install them.

While it's possible to cover asbestos tile with carpet, it's not recommended. Encapsulating tile beneath carpet doesn't eliminate the health risks. Over time, the asbestos tiles could degrade, releasing fibers into the air and potentially contaminating the carpet. Disturbance during carpet installation or removal might also release fibers.

While it is possible to install carpet yourself, it is a challenging DIY project that requires precise measurement, proper cutting skills, and knowledge of correct installation techniques. The process involves multiple steps, including removing old flooring, installing underlayment and tack strips, and stretching the carpet to prevent wrinkles, which can take several days to complete.

Before starting, consider these factors:

  • Warranty: Many manufacturers' warranties are voided if the carpet is not installed by a professional.

  • Tools: You will need to buy or rent specialized equipment like a knee kicker, carpet stretcher, and seam roller.

  • Complexity: DIY installation is most suitable for simple, straightforward rooms. Projects involving stairs or floor vents are significantly more difficult.

  • Cost: While you can save on labor, the cost of tools plus the risk of expensive mistakes—which may require re-installation—can make hiring a professional more cost-effective in the long run.

Given the potential for errors, voided warranties, and the need for special tools, hiring a local carpet installer is often recommended to ensure the job is done correctly and safely.
