"Called about 4 plumbers before Gardner’s. They had the best prices so I chose them. From what I can tell, they did an amazing job putting in my water heater. I usually don’t leave reviews, but i felt this was deserved. Thank you!"

"I called Shane in the morning of September 29, 2014 and told him my sewer line had backed up into my downstairs bathroom sink.  I asked if he could help me out and he said  "Absolutely-is this afternoon ok?"  Shane arrived at 3:00p.m. and ran a snake down the bathroom drain and resolved the problem.  Shane was very professional, personable and knew what he was doing.

"Tech did a great job of installing a Water Softener. The Tech piped in cut off valves so I can bypass the Softener if I have a problem with the Softener & not have to shut my water off. I would recommend Advanced Plumbing to everyone."

"Brent and his crew were very punctual and always stayed in contact if there was any change to his plans. They worked in very unfavorable weather as they had to cut the framing and tile out side in frigid and snowy weather. Brent was always available if I had questions and he always consulted me before doing anything outside of what we first agreed upon. During the remodel process we had difficulty with the supplier of the vanity and had to return 2 before one was shipped that was acceptable. Brent was very patient with us as this held him up from finishing the job as he had planned. During the remodel I had planned to paint and do the vanity install myself but Brent quoted me a price for turn key that was very reasonable. The bathroom looks great and I did not have to lift a finger. I would recommend Brent and have already told him I will be contacting him in the near future for more of his services.

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Kitchen plumbing repairs range from simple to complex, with the costs reflecting that variety. Some repairs require a new part, while others call for replacing an entire appliance. For example, some of the most common kitchen plumbing repairs include:

  • Dishwasher: $75–$600

  • Garbage disposal: $75–$400

  • Ice maker water line: $100–$200

  • Kitchen sink clog: $100–$400

  • P-trap repair: $200–$325

Plumbing installation costs in renovations typically range from $300 to $1,500 or more, depending on the complexity and specifics of the project.

It is best practice to hire a plumber to install a bathroom sink and vanity. Even simple installations require basic plumbing work, such as connecting water supply lines and attaching the sink to the drainage system. While an experienced DIYer might manage a straightforward setup, any complex work, like modifying existing plumbing or installing new lines, should always be left to a licensed plumber to avoid the risk of expensive water damage. In most cases, a plumber will handle the installation, provided it is a straightforward job that does not require custom carpentry. It's important to outline your expectations with the plumber beforehand to confirm they can handle the full project.

Many parts of your plumbing system can fail, but clogged drains are one of the biggest plumbing problems you’ll likely encounter. From your kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or bathtub, there are plenty of opportunities for gunk, hair, food scraps, and more to get stuck in drains. When this happens, water will slowly drain, leading to standing water, bad odors, drain flies, and other issues.

Many homeowners can handle a minor clog themselves, but if you have a clog in your main line, you’re best off hiring a local plumber to get the drain back to its normal flow rate.

No, you don’t need to use plumber’s putty to install a sink drain. Other options are available, such as silicone putty or silicone caulk. Plumber’s putty is the traditional method and it’s easier to work with and easier to remove. It doesn’t need to dry before using. Silicone putty should dry before you use the drain.
