"EXCELLENTLY! Couldn't have asked for a better experience and amazing sun room! Windows and screens can be removed for easy cleaning. Continuous hinges are some of the sturdiest hinges available, which makes sense, given that they provide support along the entire side of the door. These hinges are often used for heavy commercial doors, but are impractically expensive and unnecessary for residential use. Among the hinges commonly used in homes, the ball-bearing hinge is the strongest, and it reduces friction to help heavy doors open more smoothly.

It is possible to install hinges backward, so be careful when placing them. Position the hinge so that the hinge pin faces the direction the door will swing. For example, if you're standing on the side the door will open into, the pin should be visible. Be extra careful when installing exterior doors, as placing the hinges on the outside for an outward-facing door makes your home much easier to break into.

To achieve the correct opening size for a 30-inch door, add 2 inches to the door width and 2 ½ inches to the door height. For example, if you have a 30-inch-wide door with an 80-inch height, then the rough opening would measure 32 inches wide by 82 1/2 inches high

You can attach the hinges to either the door or the frame first, depending on your preference. The order will not affect how the door hangs or the ease of installation. However, we recommend starting with the top hinge over the bottom one for stability, as it’s much easier to support the door from below while you install the top hinge. It will also be easier to pull the door outward from the hinges as it hangs from the top than it would be to push the door toward the hinges, as there’s less clearance on the lock side.
