Super Service Award Winner for Last 4 Years in a Row! Celebrating 33 years as a carpenter on Cape Cod in 2017. I am experienced in all phases of carpentry. I am self employed and do the majority off the work myself. I have low over head and minimal subcontractors. This will assure you of a quality, cost effective project. I will be there to communicate with you “one on one” should there be any questions or concerns throughout the duration of the job. Additional website: http://capehomeremodel.com/.

"My family and I hired Jeff as our General Contractor to oversee the construction of our 1500 sq. ft. summer home. It was the best decision we made regarding this project. Jeff was a pleasure to work with. He was attentive to our design requests and of our vision for this home, while providing his expertise in all phases of construction from site work, foundation, framing, siding and roofing, stairs, and all interior finished work – including installing wood molding trim, doors, closets shelves, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, all of which he does himself. Jeff hired and coordinated reputable subcontractors required to complete the project on schedule, and met all of his commitments regarding price, quality of materials, and high standard of professionalism and quality construction. Jeff was responsive over the 6-month schedule, keeping us informed of the overall progress, including subcontractor and weather delays, local permitting challenges, and coordination of several building inspections – all of which passed the first time attesting to the quality of Jeff’s work. Overall, whether it is a large or a small project, we wholeheartedly recommend Jeff for your construction project."

I have been handy manning for over 35 years now. My parents got divorced when I was 13 and I always loved shop class and we were dirt poor and usually had who didn't want to fix anything so I learned at a young age how to be handy. I can do just about anything but I'm not going to say no job to big because it's so hard to get help. I don't ever milk anything. There's way to much other work to be had to do that for one thing and another I just don't believe in it, my work ethic is way to strong. I can do almost anything just give me a try and if I can't that's what you tube is for. Thanks for your time.

Repair Carport questions, answered by experts

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.

Yes, ensuring seamless integration with the rest of the window unit.

If nail pops in your drywall aren't fixed, there can be consequences to the structure of your home and the aesthetics of the room. Nail pops may loosen or weaken drywall and may be less effective at providing support and insulation, ultimately requiring more extensive repairs or replacement in the future. If not fixed, the blemish will become increasingly unsightly over time, potentially leading to further damage as raised areas easily catch on objects or clothing.

Signs of structural damage include foundation cracks, roof leaks, bouncy floors, crumbling concrete, and cracked or leaning chimneys. Structural damage can make itself apparent in various ways, and sometimes, there may not be obvious signs. Inspect your foundation and roof annually to stay ahead of potentially serious structural problems.

When deciding whether to use nails or screws for framing, the specific needs of the project must be taken into account. Nails have long been the go-to option for framing due to their affordability, ease of installation, and ability to withstand shear forces. They are perfect for structural framing projects where fast assembly is essential. In contrast, screws offer exceptional holding power and are particularly useful in situations requiring increased strength and resistance to pull-out forces. For projects that prioritize accuracy and long-lasting quality, screws may be the preferred option, though nails remain a dependable and efficient choice.
