They were very professional and did excellent job.

Every day I was told what was going to be done that day and next. It was quoted as a 3 day job and it took 4 days. But, that was acceptable and I was informed the whole time on the progress. Very Satisfied!

Repaired my carport roof and siding, fixed a screw-up from a "fly by night" contractor. W Builder's and Singers roofing will be doing ALL my repairs from here on out! Actually, He's on my roof right now installing some whirly bird fans! Quality work, great price and trust worthy.

Scott's work, from estimate to completion, is fantastic. He does what he says he is going to do for what he says he is going to charge; even when, as so many times is the case, he runs in to something unexpected and has to accommodate for prior bad work or even bad construction. What makes him so valuable is the fact that he does this extra work because it is necessary to DO IT RIGHT, not because it's easy, it was his mistake, or because it was part of the initial project. It is simply because he believes in quality work and a quality finished product. For example, when he was removing the popcorn ceiling in my daughter's room, he ran in to an issue where poor drywall installation when the home was built had led to a nightmare mess under the popcorn. He did not hesitate to tell me that the proper way to handle this would be for him to cut out a portion of the ceiling and replace it. He could very easily have just continued what he was doing and try to cover it, probably successfully, and passed the problem to another day down the road when new paint wouldn't have covered it. But he didn't, he fixed it properly, and years later it still looks fantastic.
Scott is extremely personable and reliable. He always asks after my children and my husband, and I don't think of him as our guy for fixing things as much as I think of him as our friend. Yes, there are times when he runs a bit behind on what he projects as his completion date, but he is only one person; I would trade flexibility in my schedule and timetable for professional work at reasonable prices any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

This was my second contractor to look at my roof to do a repair and was head and shoulders above the first more recognizable company. This company is closely related to W Builders in the area and uses many of the same laborers but focuses on roofs. The estimate was $250 less than the first company and Scott Singer actually knew what needed to be done and how to do it. The previous company was just going to remove the shingles and underlayment in the leaking area and replace it. Scott pointed out that the slope of the roof was too shallow for conventional shingles (confirmed by reading the shingle instructions and measuring the slope) and wanted to treat it as a flat roof, putting a torch down material on instead of singles. This material, when installed on a flat roof, has a 10 year warranty. Much less than the 30 years for the dimensional shingles on the rest of the roof. I am hoping it lasts longer than that since the 10 years is for a flat roof and mine has some slope. At any rate it was better than the 90 day warranty the first company offered.
There was some delay getting started because Scott was sick. He was scheduled to start on a Saturday but didn't actually get started until the next Thursday. It is a small area and he worked alone, which may have slowed him down some. But he had the old material off and the roof sealed up by 3PM. It was a hot day, especially on the roof with a torch, so he stopped once he got it sealed and came back the next morning. Both days he was working before 7AM. We got some rain on Friday which kept him from getting everything cleaned up, but he was back and complete on Saturday.
All in all I am very pleased with the quality of the work.
