"The first guy came, but did not have the parts he needed, even though I specified in my email what types of plumbing I had.  We had to reschedule for another day.  The second guy came and was very professional and knowledgeable.  He installed the system fairly quickly and explained how to operate the system.  He also showed me where my furnace was installed incorrectly.  I had the original furnace installer come out and fix the problem, that was pointed out to me by this company.  Very good customer service.  I have not used the humidifier yet, but I am happy so far.

"Overall I'm giving the company a C grade for performance, because they were responsive after we complained directly to the company; however, based on the fact that we had to call the company on several occasions for updates became frustrating. 1. They promised to be here Thursday, April 21st @ 8am; we had to call around 10am and they arrived at 11:20am.? No explanation was given for why they showed up late. 2. Technician promised to return Friday, @ 9/9:30am, to complete the job. We texted the company around 10:30, and he called 30 min later and arrived 10min later. 3.? Technician declined to file in a hole left in the wall with insulation foam.? Had to call the company, to get them to return to fill in the hole on another day. 4. The thermostat was installed without a cover plate to cover the markings on the wall left by the old thermostat.? They didn't offer a cover plate to cover the markings during the install.? After contacting the company about the cover plate, they returned and installed a cover plate free of charge."

"I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a reliable, hardworking, precise young man to do your work. He called and showed up when he said he would. He got the job done efficiently and in a timely manner. He made sure my system was up and running correctly after reconnecting the unit. I am superbly happy with his workmanship. Highly recommend. Thank you Curtis."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Safety concerns with propane boilers include proper venting to prevent carbon monoxide buildup, secure gas line connections, and regular inspection of safety controls. Professional boiler installation and annual maintenance are essential to minimize risks. Having a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home is essential for early detection of any leaks or ventilation issues.

If you want to have hot water in your home and part of your plumbing system, you'll need a hot water heater. An alternative may be to heat water as you use it, such as by boiling what you need on the stove. But that's much less efficient and takes considerably longer than hooking up a water heater. Another option is to rely on appliances, such as a dishwasher or washing machine, that heat the water themselves.

If you hear your radiator clanking even when it’s turned off, it’s typically because there’s trapped water or air in the system, causing a pressure buildup. When you hear significant clanking, popping, crackling, or banging in a radiator that’s turned off, you’ll want to bleed the pipes or call in an HVAC specialist to deal with the problem (and prevent it from happening in the future).

No, there isn’t always water in radiators. In a one-pipe system, water is constantly circulating from the boiler to the radiators and back. In a two-pipe system, water travels through two separate channels: one that goes to your radiators and one that returns back to the boiler so it can heat up again.

Hydronic and standard electric baseboard heaters differ in how they operate, their cost, and their performance. Standard convection heaters use electric coils to heat the air directly, while hydronic heaters warm a contained liquid like water or oil, which then radiates heat into the room.

In terms of cost and efficiency, hydronic heaters usually have a higher upfront price but are more energy-efficient and cheaper to run over time. This is because the heated liquid retains warmth, allowing the heater to continue providing heat for a while after the thermostat turns it off. In contrast, electric heaters provide heat more quickly but are less efficient.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on your priorities. If you need a room to heat up fast and have a lower initial budget, an electric heater might be suitable. If long-term energy savings are more important and you don't mind a slower heat-up time, a hydronic heater is likely the better option.
