"We had storm damage to our roof and our insurance adjuster was only allowing minimal repairs. We contacted Roof Masters Remodeling for an estimate on the repairs and they came out & noted several more areas of storm damage that the insurance adjuster didn’t acknowledge. The best material to sheath a roof will depend on your budget and if you require the strength of more robust materials. For most homes, the added strength is unnecessary, and oriented strand board, or OSB, makes sense. It’s inexpensive and robust enough for most roof types. If you’re building the roof trusses yourself, which isn’t recommended, it will be more affordable than buying pre-built trusses.
