"Hired then late Nov 2024. Rushed to do the job, left a darn mess in the area. Left large air pockets and caused even more damage to my home's foundation. High pressure sales, terrible work. The warranty doesn't cover anything due to Foundation Recovery does NOT stand behind their work. I'm disgusted with their dishonesty from sales to repair and management. I will be hiring a structural specialist, contacting the Attorney General and filing a complaint with the BBB. Photos will be sent to both."

"The lifting and crack sealing of my driveway and front walkway/porch was fantastic. The driveway sank a little bit a couple of months after application and they came back to lift it free of charge. However, if you need concrete flatwork done, I would suggest going elsewhere. We had two corners that needed poured because they were too damaged to lift. They had to come out to repour three times in one year, and the concrete is already starting to crack again."

"Terrible service, our front was sinking due to our fireplace. We got a quote ($28,000), for their "patented" footings - enormous metal poles under each of the house supports for the front. Pretty slick snowjob, they quoted us 3 days but took 5. They dumped all the concrete they removed in the backyard without asking and left an enormous hole in the front of the house where the fireplace is. When I (5'1" femme) asked to speak to a supervisor about the delay and dumping, they sent a good old boy (300 pds, 6'2") to scream at me in my living room. No supervisor was present to verify the work and I was not permitted to watch them. They pressured me to sign the inspection form, without me inspecting anything. They are a SCAMMMM! I would only recommend Olshan as revenge."

Whether or not you can replace an undermount sink without removing the countertop depends on the type of countertop you have. Removing an old sink from granite countertops is relatively easy without removing the countertop, but other materials like laminate, or unusually shaped countertops, may need to be removed or modified.

Replacing a toilet takes two to four hours. Several factors, including the condition of the old toilet and flange, can impact the installation time. Inspect the flange for cracks, chips, or other signs of damage. You can reuse it and the bolts if they’re in good working order. If not, you’ll need to purchase an identical one and install it before attaching the toilet, which adds time. Be careful when moving the old and new toilets—they’re heavy, so it’s best to hire a pro to get the placement right.

What goes up must come down, so pipes do thaw on their own, but there are some risks to taking the “wait and see” approach. As that ice thaws, water caught between the faucet, and the blockage causes increased pressure within the pipe, leading to bursting pipes and other serious types of system damage. In other words, handle frozen pipes as quickly as possible. 

There are a few ways to unclog a toilet without a plunger. Break up the clog with homemade solutions containing soap, vinegar, and baking soda, or simply let hot water spend some time in the drain. You can also use a two-liter soda bottle filled with water to push pressurized water into the pipe to dislodge the debris (see the steps above).
