"Professional, punctual, hardworking crew! Greg Reed and his crew, Jose Contreras and Rick Diaz, were three of the most pleasant workers we have ever had at our home! Installed push piers to stabilize our foundation, and installed a center line beam to level our floors."

"I had a unique situation in my basement that has caused me a lot of problems with plumbing and my sump pump.  I had the plumbing repaired by a plumber but still needed a new sump pump pit, pump, and concrete.  All of the above was installed, and the 2 guys that did the work did a great job and left very little mess.  I am looking to use Kansas Basement and Foundation to lift the corner of my garage in the near future if this foundation problem persists.   I did feel the price was a bit high, but in Wichita, you either get the best or you get the worse.  My first plumber was the worst, so I refused to settle for anything less than the best I could find..

"The service was amazing! Devon came out and found our clog right away he gave us an estimate and did the work right after. At the end the price was exactly wat he quoted. He even found us a couple of coupons we used to drop the price. He was very clean and friendly. We have found our new plumber. Thank you for taking care of our drain cleaning problems and thank you for getting to us so quickly. We highly recommend Devon and his company!"

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $2,000 to $7,000, depending on system type and excavation requirements.

Yes, many people choose to bury their sump pump discharge pipes. When you leave the pipe visible in your yard, you might trip over it or accidentally damage it with your lawn mower. Plus, from an aesthetic perspective, hiding the discharge line underground looks nicer than leaving it out in the open. Before burying a sump pump pipe, review your local building codes to make sure your installation is compliant.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

Most people consider a French drain to be one of the most effective solutions for foundation leaks, but it’s not always a standalone solution. French drains will help keep water away from your foundation to reduce the risk of leaking and structural damage from soil expansion, but depending on your foundation type and location, you might need other systems or techniques—like soil gradation and gutter and leader installation—to resolve the underlying problem.

Your sump pump will discharge water through a discharge line or pipe. The discharge line should be placed at least 10–20 feet from the foundation to avoid any issues.
