Locally Owned. We are a family owned local business that was started by Cedric DuHadway. Now Mike, Jim, and JoAnn, the third generation, own and operate DuHadway under the same original name. Some companies have changed names several times in just the last several years. We have continued the tradition of offering quality products at a fair price. One of the best ways to maintain quality control is to use full time employees to install your windows, doors, and siding projects. We don’t use subcontractors. The problem with many subcontractors and other companies’ employees is how they are paid. They are usually paid by the job. If there is a problem and they take the time to work through it, their pay is cut. We don't pay our people on a piecework basis. We know it is a bad way to keep quality work. We know because we have been working with homeowners since 1946.

"American clean and seal did a great job and used a superior product to seal . I have noticed my neighbors use other companies and their Concrete is now discolored . I would highly recommend !"

Radon Environmental, Inc. is your trusted partner for radon detection and reduction in Indianapolis. With a team of 4-6 dedicated professionals, we tailor our services to meet your specific needs. Contact us today for a safer and healthier home.

"I wish I could give 0 stars, honestly. The house flippers that we bought the home from used Radon Environmental during the flip in January to solve the radon mitigation issues in the slab following a different buyer being scared off by the high radon levels. By the time we walked through the house with the inspector in February, the radon levels MORE THAN DOUBLED (over 10 pCi/L, for those wondering.) It was then that I began to be skeptical of Radon Environmental, so I negotiated in our closing contract for the house flippers to pay for everything. This, unfortunately, made me contractually obligated to use Radon Environmental. Trust me, I tried to convince the house flippers to switch companies. To make long stories short, Patrick (technician) made 3 mistakes in the house which made those radon levels spike that high for A MONTH. Each time, Scott (manager-ish) had to come fix Patrick's mistakes. Of course, the owner was difficult to reach (only responds to customers via email, per his office staff) and when he did reach out via phone following my prompting, he made nothing but excuses for Patrick. I am, once again, so grateful that I was not on the hook for cost as they did the house flippers little favors when it came to billing. TLDR; there are better radon companies out there, and I found more than a few in the area with Better Business Bureau accreditations, among other accolades. Give those companies your business instead of these people who turned a small radon issue into a 6 month one. If you do use this company, don't let Patrick near your home."

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

You can expect to pay between $200 and $400 for a lead inspection, where your local lead testing pro will scan surfaces and items with an X-ray fluorescent analyzer. Lead risk assessments are slightly different and run around $800 to $2,000. A pro may find lead during an evaluation, and create a removal strategy.

With regular testing, treatment, and maintenance, water from a community well should be safe to drink. Unfortunately, the EPA does not regulate private wells, and contamination can happen.

If you have doubts about the quality and safety of your drinking water, you have options for testing. You can pick up kits from your local home supply store or harvest samples and send them to a local testing facility. To get the most complete water quality testing and system diagnosis, seek a local well professional. They know what to test for and can recommend and implement a longer-lasting solution.

The EPA broadly defines hazardous waste as any waste that could pose a danger to humans or the environment. More specifically, it includes any material that could combust or explode under normal temperatures and pressure, as well as materials that are toxic or corrosive. Some common household hazardous waste products include aerosol cans, paint cans, old tires, medical supplies, unused medications, fire extinguishers, cleaning solutions, and lawn care products.

The average cost of a lead paint inspection is about $600, but it can cost as low as $150 or as much as $800, depending on the size of the area, geographic location, and the inspection methods. Some of the most common lead paint inspection methods include:

  • Visual inspection: $150–$400

  • Paint sampling: $200–$600

  • X-ray fluorescence (XRF): $250–$700

  • Risk assessment: $300–$800

DIY lead removal is not recommended due to the health risks and regulatory requirements involved. Professional services ensure compliance with safety standards and effective removal.
