They are very professional and great with pets. They always call to check up on my little guy to make sure he is doing well.

First thing they want to know is who is going to pay for services not yet rendered.
They really need to take into consideration the stress that animal owners are going through as well because their fur babies are sick. We do not intentionally make our pets sick, yet their attitude implies that we are stupid enough to let our pets become ill.
Then ask us why we appear to be upset. I hope I never have to use their services again. Ever. Very Unpleasant.

Excessively expensive and no solutions!!! We spent over $2000 and had no answers as to why our dog would not stop vomiting and regurgitating. The "specialist" wanted to continue conducting testing on our dog (for all types of non-specific reasons) but could not explain why she wanted to do them or what she thought might be wrong. We were grateful during the initial treatment (after hours) because they rehydrated our dog and calmed her tummy. But after changing food, multiple tests, a sonogram and blood work, we still had no diagnosis and our dog continued vomiting. Beware of other pet clinics and hospitals in the Ft Wayne area owned by the same corporation. Rather than offering services at a reasonable fee, they offer care credit so you can charge the costs. Don't give up on your pet --- take them somewhere else for help!

We went to the emergency clinic on a Sunday. The vet on duty was Dr. Jennifer Stresemann.
The prices are high. It is $110 for the office visit and it was about $180 for blood tests and our dog needed an antibiotic and fluids and it ended up being just under $500 for the visit. I am happy to pay it, and can, but it would be hard if you don't have that kind of money to spend. That said, the whole staff (Vet, technician, front desk, etc) was very professional, competent and understanding. Both the doctor and the technician took all the time I needed to answer all my questions (and I had a lot of questions).
It is true that they prescribe things that might not be absolutely necessary (maybe good ideas, but not absolutely necessary if you can't afford it or don't want it). I didn't realize completely that they were going to give my dog subcutaneous fluids and had I thought about it, I would have said 'no' to that since he was not really dehydrated and didn't have bad diarrhea and it hurt him to have it done and scared him and I didn't want that. I told them no to keeping him overnight to get fluid drips but didn't realize they thought I was saying yes to the subcutaneous fluids before we left. I would suggest carefully considering each thing they suggest and only doing what you feel is critical until you can get to your regular vet.
But I really feel that they do the best they can and are very competent at it and I would not hesitate to take him back again if need be. I always worry if I have to take a pet in an emergency to a vet I don't know, but I feel they are good vets (certainly at least the one we saw) and that is what we need in an emergency situation. We are lucky that they are available at all, much less that they are decent vets.
