"Stan came and sprayed for spiders. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I was amazed at how detailed he was when doing the job. I already hired him again to come back in the spring. Thank you Ketchum pest control!"

Small jobs welcome

"Mike was on the lawn today and did an excellent job of explaining exactly what they were doing, instructions on watering and what to look for. Although I am on a scheduled service plan Mike assured me if I saw anything out of the ordinary to give them a call and they would come right out. So far, I am very satisfied."

"very professional.  Described the process and the fees for the trapping. Came back the next day and removed the skunk and trap.  Reset the trap in case there were more than one skunk.  Came back two days in a row to check and concluded that we had only one resident at our hose.  We have seen none since.  I would highly recommend Groen's for rodent/pest removals.

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

The primary attractant for moles is food. With a powerful sense of smell, they seek out grubs, earthworms, ants, and other insects in the soil. Other factors can also draw them in, such as moist, loose soil which makes tunneling easier, so an overwatered lawn can be an invitation. Additionally, male moles may enter your yard to expand their territory or find a mate, and if a neighbor has a mole problem, it's possible for them to tunnel over to your property.

As you know, mice adore peanut butter, but who doesn’t? Beyond that sandwich staple, rodents are drawn to berries, grains, seeds, meat, and, yes, even cheese. They also eat pet food in a pinch and feast on plant materials, leftovers, and anything in the trash. In other words, mice aren’t picky.

If rats found a spot they liked to build a nest, then it’s possible more rats will show up or return to that same spot. That’s why it’s important to close off any access points rats may be using to get inside your home.

Spider mites don’t have too much in common with actual spiders, but these insects can absolutely destroy a lawn. Spider mites feed on grass roots and blades and are extremely effective at draining nutrients from plants, which can quickly kill grass. These mites are ravenous, so talk to a pest control pro at the first sign of spider mites in your lawn.

A bowl of vinegar will not kill fleas and acts only as a repellent. To get rid of fleas, you can create a homemade flea trap or buy flea traps from a local hardware store. Consistent trapping and meticulous cleaning will help eliminate fleas before they become an infestation. If you have a moderate to severe flea infestation, you’ll likely need the help of a local flea control specialist.
