"By waiting 3 years to comment online this customer leaves us no option of making anything right. We recommend contacting our office at 877-924-7378 to discuss any concerns. We guarantee all of our work."

The company informed me then on two occasions that they do not trap on weekends as it was and quot;against the law.and quot; I was very confused by this, as I wondered how such a business could be a Monday through Friday operation? Since anyone who has struggled with rodents in their home can attest, rodents do not stop entering your home because it's the weekend. I heard activity in my home on the first weekend after my service with this provider was initiated. I therefore called the emergency on call number for support. I spoke to the on call service twice, and I never received a call back from the provider that weekend. I called because I had heard mice in my walls and assumed therefore that the problem was getting worse instead of better.
I then arranged for the builder and the provider to meet with me as a group for an update and plan. Again, the employee informed us that when we identify less trapping, we can seal the entry. My home builder then told me that based on his observations from working in the area and seeing the employees of this company to check in, there had been reports of no rodents being caught. My builder said it should be ok then, based on his discussion with the employee, to seal the entry point of these rodents into the home. The builder did so with cement, and I then had the employee set an extra chipmunk trap in my basement (after we sealed the entry point) as a precaution.
With this company, you must be available to meet the employee at the home (by law) in order for them to check the trap daily. I was told this had to be between 8:30 and 4:00 p.m. Although very difficulty with my work, I was able to accommodate this most days, but could not do so on the second day following the sealing of the entry point. I then noticed the outdoor traps were also removed without my knowledge. Apparently my service was complete, without any notice. Two days later, I arrived home from work only to hear loud banging in my basement of what sounded like a rodent trying to escape, what the company warned me about. I called the emergency line at the provider twice with no response. On my third call within the hour, the on cal service assured me I would get a call back. The employee finally did call and was disrespectful, seemingly that this was occurring late at night. He informed me that for an extra $350.00, they can come out tonight to evaluate the situation. I explained that I have an existing $500.00 contract with this provider until the problem is resolved. I reminded this employee that the problem worsened and didn't improve over time. He insisted rudely for my credit card information which I did provide. The employee who came out at night was very kind, and assured me the home was safe at this point with no rodents.
I have since researched and learned that nuisance permits are carried by rodent removal providers such as Guaridan. I verified that the company has a nuisance permit. I asked the employee to help me find the law that stated that with a nuisance permit, the company can therefore not catch rodents on the weekend, as two employees explained. The employee then confirmed that the law refers to someone needing to be home daily to meet the company employee, as traps must be checked daily by law. Nowhere does it state on the Indiana Department of Natural Resources website, that it is against the law to trap on the weekends with a nuisance permit.
When you hire this type of service, it is usually because there is a crisis pertaining to rodents having entered into one's home, and obviously that needs immediate attention. What I didn't take the time to ask or consider carefully is the ramifications of skipping weekend service. Once they remove the trap on Saturday mornings, this company doesn't come back with more traps until sometime on Monday. How then can the company really determine if and quot;activity was noted consistentlyand quot; which was the determining factor for when to seal the rodent entry points? It is not against the law to trap on the weekends. This company chooses to not work on the weekends. They have someone check and remove the traps on Saturday morning, but then do not replace them. Additionally, not answering or responding rudely to on call emergencies is unacceptable for a company that advertises on call service. This was a very expensive mistake, I just hope this information helps others from a terrible experience. It would have been much easier for me to buy my own traps for less then $20.00 and have them outside and checked daily.
The employees in this provider's office during the week were kind and accommodating with my efforts to coordinate my builder and their employees. The on call service apologized for the lack of call backs by the provider on the weekends.
"SINCE WE HAVE NEVER HEARD ANY COMPLAINT FROM THIS CUSTOMER BEFORE THIS, WE HAVE TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO CONTACT HER IN ORDER TO CLARIFY ANY CONFUSION AND RECTIFY ANY PROBLEM BUT SHE HAS NOT RETURNED OUR PHONE CALLS. AS A COMPANY WE TAKE THESE MATTERS SERIOUSLY BUT ARE UNABLE TO SOLVE ANYTHING WITHOUT RESPONSE!"
We had been hearing some kind of critter in our attic intermittently. Thought it was in attic area but also sounded like it could be in an area where outdoor screen room connected to house. Called Guardian around 1:30 office personnel checked with technician same day time and appt. set between 3-5pm with a call 20 minutes prior to arrival for free evaluation/estimate of situation. Dan arrived promptly around 3 pm evaluated and inspected attic and roof area. It was determined that mice are the culprit. I accepted the diagnosis and treatment was done at the same time. Also installed a screen over a vent area that critters were likely to enter. Treatment was placed in attic, garage, basement and outside. Dan is professional as well as the office personnel.
We also used Guardian end of last summer for a enormous hornet nest that was built in one of our trees. Dan was the technician at that time and provided the same service as he did today. That is one reason why I chose Guardian today. Prompt, efficient and gets the job done!
I read that others feel Guardian is expensive and I did not do a comparison, I feel that if a company and employees are professional and proficient in their services that paying a little more is well worth it.
I had a very good experience with this provider and will definitely use them again. I believe that the price was good.
