"We are very pleased with the results. We had problems with animals getting into the attic through a space between the gutter boards and the roof. Apex replaced the gutter boards closing up the entry space. They then put up new seamless gutters. This completely solved our problem. They also repaired a fracture in the vinyl siding on our front porch, putting up new siding on the entire porch to ensure that there was no noticeable difference due to aging - looks great. This is the second time I've used Apex. Recommended."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"We had an excellent experience from the estimate process all the way to the final inspection. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the estimate process. Larry's questions were much more detailed than other companies that I spoke with. He made me feel confident that he knew what he was doing, especially with our house, which was built in 1905 and is in a historic neighborhood. We also had to have some wood repair done, and Larry's recommendation of a contractor was also excellent. Larry and the contractor had worked together on other projects, so they coordinated their schedules and I did not have to worry about anything. Five Star offered a paint color consultant, which I did use and found the consultant helpful in choosing new colors. There is a lot of trim and they were very willng to get the colors right for that. They gave us the third color accents at no extra charge. The house was power washed carefully (because of the age and condition of the wood siding) and all the windows were covered before painting started. The paint crew worked harder than I have ever seen people work, from early in the morning to evening. They kept all their equipment stored neatly from day to day, and did a great job with clean up. They were careful with my plants around the yard. I went with Larry and Five Star because he made me feel comfortable, and because it was an excellent price and quality. If I have the opportunity to hire a painting company again, it willbe Five Star.

"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door.
