L&M Roofing

Owner, Mark Stephens, of L&M roofing kept postponing start date, then we ran into rain which postponed it even more. Workers only covered our brand new heat pump with a tarp and no other material to protect it and threw roofing on top of it.  Workers tore up most of our gutter guards while tearing off roof and was left that way. Mark himself was supposed to reflash the fireplace under the gutters. He kept postponing it stating he was waiting on metal that he had to order. We were surprised he didn't have metal coil stock or that he didn't have access to get it within a day since this is sold at so many major home stores. Once the metal came in, he came out and only did one side saying that he bent the metal for the other side incorrectly and that was all the metal he had. Several days went by and he ignored our calls. Then, when he finally answered, he said he was waiting to get more metal and he had already started another job. We had already paid him in full at this point and couldn't get him back out to finish the job. We told him he should have finished our job before starting another. We told him we should have held $100 back until he finished and he quickly agreed to send us a $100 check so he didn't have to come back. Other than the gutter guards being damaged and Mark not finishing the fireplace flashing, the new roof looks really nice.
